Dirk flops more than Manu. GMAFB
Any Mavs fan who refers to Manu as a flopper is akin to the old saying of "the pot calling the kettle black". Mavs homers, you've got "no leg to stand on here" because your noted superstar (Dirk) always flails, stumbles awkwardly and glares at the refs trying to get fouls called.
Those tactics employed by Manu, Dirk and others like them are doing may be bush league to some, but ALL compe ive players are looking for an edge.
Dirk flops more than Manu. GMAFB
This whole thing comes down to mental toughness and the opposite, being a total mental midget. It doesn't matter how though you think you are, if you let other players get into your head, you're done. You're never going to see Manu arguing or trash talking another player. He will instead proceed to channel the anger into destroying your team and winning the game. That is, obviously, the smart thing to do.
On the other hand, you have the Stackhouses and Terrys who like to showboat, talk trash, act though, and let other players get into their heads. At that point, it's no longer about the basketball game, it's about their mini battle with the other guy. And when they can't live up to expectations, they implode.
So I don't really understand what Avery is talking about.
If being a man means putting your petty interests above the team, when the team really needs you, with your captain down and the need to right the ship and win, then the Mavs really need a new coach.
It would seem that the whining all emanates from the spurs side. I have yet to find one post in this thread from a mav fan condoning what Stackhouse did or even being upset or angry with Manu aside from Shank. Both guys shrugged it off.
So keep the silver and black glasses bolted firmly on.
What the ?
Then why are you here?
Whining about whining?
Oh, that's right -- you're whining about Manu's boxing Stack out, trying to characterize it as something else.
But AJ's statement strikes me as advocating just the opposite of that. Of course, by repeatedly complaining about the Spurs' players in the media (Bowen in 2006, Manu (apparently) yesterday), AJ seems to concede that his team isn't as tough, mentally or physically, as the Spurs. Still, in praising Stackhouse, AJ seems to be saying "It's okay to lose your cool, so long as it's because someone was getting physical with you." To me, that's just the opposite of the message that AJ should be sending. It's okay to back up Stackhouse, but to praise him seems extremely odd to me.
Bickering on the Internet. Why are you here?
Calling out whiners.
Stack WAS a man...seeing Manu in the fetal position was funny though...
Yeah, I'm sure you enjoyed Stack's pushing down on Manu's neck.fans enjoy moves.
Or whining about whining, if we go with your nomenclature.
Why the are you here? Just to call a bunch of Spurs fans "Homers". Spur fans that are on a Spurs Forum mind you.
We get it, you and Skank believe it was Manu's fault he got thrown to the ground because he threw himself into Stack.
That's right, Kori and timvp have closed off registration to fans of other teams.
No, you don't get it, since you apparently can't read.We get it, you and Skank believe it was Manu's fault he got thrown to the ground because he threw himself into Stack
So you admit you're whining.
I admit that I'm 43 years old and living in my parents basement, while eating a KFC bowl and contemplating the Mavs season circle the drain while Bob Dylan's Blood on the Tracks plays on the stereo.
That makes perfect sense, but either way he or J Kidd has to step up and lead this team to the playoffs. I don't know what is wrong with Avery, but he seemed like an amazing coach the past few years.
Okay, thin-skinned forum nanny. Please forward my posts along to Kori and timvp and I'll be banned in no time.
seriously?

What's wrong with that? I weigh 450 lbs, I haven't seen my penis in 6 years, and I've never touched a woman's ladybits. The only thing that soothes such crushing disappointment in life is a KFC bowl.
It wasn't snide and condescending, it was an actual question.
However, if you want to continue to be a little like your hero Stackhouse, by all means continue.
Until this little outburst of yours, I actually had respect for your posts. Silly me.
Yeah, Im sure there weren't any Spurs fans who applauded Horry for taking out Nash.
