I was in DC so it wouldn't had mattered really. I would have gotten into a crap load of trouble if I were a cop and somehow my sidearm went off. Now FBI is a different story. I would have no business with my gun up there anyway.

They make pretty good money for the work involved. It's a very, very laid back job that is almost entirely stress free. I am not a librarian yet but hopefully I will start library school in the summer and have my Masters in Library Science in 2 years.

Why is FBI different?

FBI has jurisdiction to carry their sidearm everywhere. I'm not supposed to carry my department issued sidearm out the the city technically.

Yeah I heard they make more than teachers and don't have to mess with the kids as much (I heard elementary school librarians make more, is that true?)
