"I've talked to a couple of network sources who are making the same assumptions we have for a while. Nobody I know of is operating off hard intel which is always a tell. Meanwhile, Texas just "missed" on KJ Edwards and is currently out of it for Derrek Cooper. Some might think it's folly to use that as a positive data point but if that's you, you haven't been paying attention. Misses often become impetus. No Micah Hudson led to Ryan Wingo. And Edwards was not viewed in the same light as Crowell. Crowell was viewed as the top back in America when he was in the 2027 class. There was a time when Tashard Choice was the coach and Crowell re-classified and we had to re-think the entire RB board.We have a tad bit more reason to watch this one. Anyway, we're treating it like a live recruitment."

I haven't seen any clarification on that scenario yet since Johnson is now committing before Guervil.

My guess is they'd take both and not blink.

The staff wanted them in Austin together on the same official visit weekend since they're both from Fort Myers, and it happened to work out that way.

Hamilton was predicting Alabama earlier unless he received new info to suggest otherwise.

While it will suck if he chooses Bama right now as far as what is Texas going to do now, I believe in this staff and they will get who they want in December. Again, it will suck right now.

Texas is expected to go 0 for 3 today between OL Malakai Lee, DT Damari Simeon and S Chace Calicut, and there will be other tough losses in the coming days.

I figured it's a good time to reflect on this week of the year typically being the lowest low of the cycle for Texas going back to 2021 where Kelvin Banks, Jr. and Cam Williams picked Oregon within three days of each other.

Better recruiting days ahead with six months (and hopefully a national championship season) to go.
