he made that announcement literally the same day Jerome Powell said America needed a stimulus package to avoid economic disaster![]()
i'm not a rogan fan but these takes are sensible and i agree it with them.
it's super unfortunate that exchanges like that can't be made nowadays without being called anti-trans.

He has zero political instincts. He thinks he can leverage coronavirus relief for votes.
What a stupid man.
he's talked about trans people way more than just talking about fallon fox... talks about how its inaccurate biologically, etc
go back and hear him talk about caitlyn jenner. he's pretty yikes-y on the issue in general, which in a vac , whatever. but he over emphasizes it all the time.

I've heard him talk about it, and I think it is pretty irresponsible a lot of the time. It's pretty difficult to discern what he is being serious about sometimes, but I guess that is the peril of talking for hours and hours every week?
we are all EXTREMELY fortunate trump isn’t close to being smart.
he would shoot up in the polls if even gave every american household $4,000 a month. it’s not even his money he’d be spending
he could literally be buying votes and isn’t smart enough to. THANK GOD.
i never take rogan seriously... i tune in because he pulls some huge guests and its cool to hear those people have a conversation for 1-3 hours
rogan on his own is just some meathead who talks freely, not particularly interesting
Saw Cornyn start throwing Trump under the bus today. Might be seeing more of that after this latest disaster.
Yeah it burns hours while I am working.
Yep. Goldman Sachs is even telling its clients that a Democratic sweep will be the quickest way to economic recovery. I think Trump's campaign is going to see funds dry up really quickly if it hasn't already.
This is beginning to have shades of 2008 when Republicans start turning on Republicans.
cornyn critiqued trump on the covid stuff... none of them have turned on him re: economy/stimulus yet, as far as i'm aware
how simple is this going to be for Biden?
He could just say he'll put taxes back to where they were in the before time for the rich to pay for any stimulus.
I think some of the more vulnerable ones have to now.
But it is a death cult after all....
Yeah he doesn't even need to kill the filibuster to reverse Trump's tax cuts, McConnell provided a roadmap for that to get done through budget reconciliation.
I am telling my pawns to stop all negotiations. BUT HURRY ON AND VOTE ON MY SCOTUS PICK.
This might just be the excuse heads like Ernst needed to not vote for a confirmation. It's going to be hard to explain why she'd ditch a vote on a stimulus package but would for a confirmation of a supreme court justice.
They're literally prioritizing a non emergency vote over an actual national emergency.
I have. Democrats are marginally better than Republicans
I think senators like Ernst and Tillis are told that they need to confirm the SCOTUS pick and if it means kamikazeing their re-election no worries as McConnell will get them a cushy lobbying job but if they vote against confirmation and still lose the GOP will leave them on their ass. That's the only explanation for Gardner throwing away the small momentum he had against Hickenlooper by pledging his allegiance to Trump before there was even a vote.
Interesting timing for that comment.
at least while America falls apart without any stimulus help, Chuck Grassley isn't letting it get to him
Rats.
Sinking.
Ship.
cornyn. I will gleefully vote against his ass.
vote for me or you will get nothing.
also making sure to inflict as much damage as possible to the people effected by his evil incompetence
Republicans worst faults are their anti-intellectual streak. It s them over all the time.
Evangelicals have been rejecting science, i.e. evolution, since forever. That seeps in to all sorts of other thinking. Add to the mix a solid sell out to the 1% who own coal/oil companies, and you get "climate change hoax".
After that, it is all down hill.
Trickle down economics, debunked by just about any state and federal trial balloon, and panned by most economists? no problem, call 'em commies.
Don't like the science of epidemiology? no problem, it is a democratic hoax.
One thing after another. Being that anti-science has costs, and the ultimate cost is that your group discounts expert opinions, and that has some serious repurcussions. Reality doesn't care about your no-tax pledge, or thoughts on CO2 emissions.
