He did. You gotta pay attention but you'll see his cape "wings" pop out before they hit the cab.
wow... 46,915 votes and a 9.5 rating?? This IMDB rating is quickly becoming a joke. Stupid fanboys that come from watching the movie and high fiving all the way home to vote a 10/10...
The movie was good, but give me a break! a perfect 10? you HAVE to be a 15 year old comic book fan to honestly believe this movie is the best movie ever made.
RottenTomatoes.com is a far better gauge of movie quality, course they gave it a 94% fresh, so what the do I know...
He did. You gotta pay attention but you'll see his cape "wings" pop out before they hit the cab.
If Two Face returns, part 3 will be gayer than if Steve Carell really was Riddler.
Jake Gylenhaal could appear as Robin and start going Brokeback with Heath Ledger's corpse and it still wouldn't be as gay as Two-Face returning.
Just finished watching Ebert and Roper their exact words:
Best comic adapation of ALL time, one of the best movies I have ever seen.
CF, the reason all the hate for catwoman is because.
A) Mic e Pfiere(sp) sort of fucekd it up
B) Halle Berry ed it up beyond al extenet.
Plus, having a woman ( no offense) for a villian against batman is sort of a joke in this series, even in the most of comics she was always secondhand to the main male villian. I don't I just can't be like FUC KYEAH PISSING MY PANTS OFF when batman is fighting a woman with cat powers. It reminds me of the old crazy cat ladies lmao basically what i am saying is the appeal wouldn't be there for most people, but who knows unless if they totally get this catwoman part on cue then it will be good, but other than that.............no
Steve Carell? Would have been godd for Burton's movies, but not for Nolan's.
Nolan won't take him.
I can see as the Riddler :
- The guy who played in American Beauty (the tough dad who shoots himself at the end, I always forget his name; amazing actor)
- Robin Williams
- Willem Dafoe
- Brad Pitt (don't laugh, he is an excellent actor)
- Ed Norton
- Jeff Goldblum
- And this guy:

I don;t know why, but I laughed my ass off at this.
I could see Pitt or Norton, but not any of the others. Brad Pitt as Riddler is actually kind of intriguing.
I don't mind people calling it the best comic adaptation of ALL time. I think that one's a given. In fact, I would also agree its much more than. Its transcends genres in the sense that you don't really have to be a comic book fan to watch it and enjoy it. However, I still don't think you can put this movie even in the top ten all time. Its ridiculous.
Of course, I am talking about my opinion. People are going to think whatever they want.
Firstly, Pfeiffer was great as Catwoman and Selina Kyle.
Secondly, the Halle Berry film was an absolute abortion, but so far removed from the actual Catwoman character that I really don't even consider it to be a part of the Batman universe. It was its own horribly misguided thing.
Lastly, I disagree that having a female villain is less exciting. It changes the dynamic of a fight scene, so it obviously won't have the same physicality as a big ol' punch out, but can create much more tension in other areas of the plot. Furthermore, I think that a female villain (and of the options available, Catwoman is by far the best) would work perfectly in the new Batman franchise. Nolan's approach to the series, especially with The Dark Knight, is very much in tune with the film noir crime films of the 1940s, and everyone knows that noir needs a good femme fatale.
Are you talking about Chris Cooper, who played Col. Frank Fitts? Ricky's dad? He shot Lester, (Kevin Spacey), not himself.

why don't you just throw out your top 5 movies...just so we can get a feel of what you think is true greatness...
The way catwoman becomes catwoman in batman returns is sort of funny and what killed it for me, she gets pushed off a window and a bunch of cats start biting the out oher and she contracts rabies, but ends up with a feline prowess and starts to steal? I was like damn.
Catomwan isn't really that maniacal, I want somebody crazy, is what I am trying to say, also IMO Batman can beat catwoman anytime, but he goes easy on her, because she is a woman, that's what I think (no offense), but who knows. Also I would like someone who s with people's heads and the public and is a murderer, Catwoman has been usually a theif, so if she does show up in the next batman she would be a minor secondary villian. Because IMO the premise of the movie is batman trying to catch a theif, would sound.......boring
That's jsut me, I guess we'll disagree, but if Nolan decides it's catwoman I'll wait before I judge, but I won't hold my hopes up. For all I know they could compeletely make up her character from scratch and have her as some cidal maniac instead of a theif.

penguin. mos def for the next one.
i read a great article somewhere on the best villians and how one storyline portrayed penguin as a rich businessman and an arms dealer.
he could bring in new guns/toys for the crimelords, and the riddler could terrorize gotham unibomber/anthrax style.
Having said that, every batman villain needs a climatic fight scene with batman himself... and so far, every man vs woman movie fight has just turned out to be gay. If the next villain does end up being cat woman, I don't want this "I don't hit women" bull approach at chivalry that Burton had in Batman Returns. Cat Woman better be a she from and end up cutting Batman's balls off, or Batman better knock her the out. No middle ground
Sure, Mos def as the penguin could be interesting
I am hoping it will turn out like this......
Yeah something like that![]()
Was the Scarecrow really necessary, he didn't really do anything a regular henchman could have done?
EDIT: Whoops wrong batman thread LOL
I wouldn't say I had a definitive top 5, since I think there are quite a few great movies that are deserving. Here are five I think are most definitely truly great
In no particular order
The Godfather
Pulp Fiction
Goodfellas
Shindler's List
The Shawshank Redemption
Again this is just my opinion. You're free to disagree. Just like I'm free to think its ridiculous to think TDK is anything more than just a good movie.

Shawshank's Redemption, how do you redeem a prison?
That was a great performance. I could see him as the Riddler. He does dark well.
