Sorry for the triple post, but I just saw that Ekpe Udoh is considering contenders and was going to sign with LAC before they re-signed Glen Davis. What would y'all think about getting Udoh if Baynes ends up going elsewhere?

the legend of tspence continues
Wiggins is $4.5 million, Waiters is $4 million and Thompson is about $ 5.4 million that works for Love. $13.9 in salary. Love makes $15.7
If they were to include someone Brenden Haywood they could acquire Kevin Martin as well.
A truth bomb from the most unlikely of sources.
Wiggins doesn't count as salary.
Haven't watched him play (his stats from this past year looks pretty bad though) but I'm hoping the Spurs either cut Baynes loose or move Ayers to open up a roster spot for a Small forward or another big man (Aminu, Marion or Okafor) not in love with the idea of a Baynes-Ayers-Bonner trio for another season (even if they are 4th, 5th & 6th in big man minutes)
Because he hasn't signed his contract?
Yes. If they sign him, they have to wait 30 days to trade him.
Maybe move Pekovic to Phoenix. Needs a proven center, and has 3 picks (theirs, Minnys protected pick and Lakers top 5 protected pick) and or young prospects in Warren, Len, Goodwin.
Got it. I had assumed that they already signed him. Thanks
Only with TSpence does the speculation follow the confirmation.
Load up on picks and have a young nucleus to teach, too bad Flip Saunders is there coach or that might actually be a positive. Thompson would bolt as soon as his 2 years are up and even though they'd have his bird rights I don't think they would want to pay so much for a guy who didn't want to play there. At least they can try to sell Wiggins on this being his franchise, lol...
thats a good deal. Henry looked much better than a minimum player, but i guess his injury issues scared teams
The Warriors are fools if they don't surrender Thompson. The defensive concerns with Curry are lessened with Livingston signed. More importantly, they're not winning a championship as currently cons uted. They most likely still wouldn't if they made this trade, but at least they'd have a sliver of a chance and they'd get out of having to overpay Thompson in a year's time.
If the Cavs are smart, they wait until the trade deadline, unless they get word that the Timberwolves are closing in on a trade. At that point, it's possible Bennett at least somewhat repairs his value and Saunders goes into panic mode and settles for him, Waiters and 2 1sts. If not and Wiggins still has to be surrendered, at least they'll have exhausted the possibility of pulling this off without surrendering him and they'll have a slightly better idea of what exactly it is they're giving up.
Good decision by Seraphin. I have no idea why Washington didn't rescind the QO once they had signed Gooden and acquired Blair. Seraphin will cost more than those two combined.
never liked Seraphin, spurfan speaks highly of him during trade season
Classic case of not seeing the forest from the trees. Sure, he wouldn't have made up the money on the open market right now, but this is a big year for him, he needs consistent minutes and he's not going to get them now.
Should have pulled a Davis and signed a 2 year deal, with a p/o for the 2nd season, on a team where he had a chance to play a consistent 20 mpg. If he had a good season, he could have cashed in next off season.
For the Wizards, it doesn't push them into the tax and aside from possibly a depth wing, they're set, so they probably figured why not retain useful depth.
And he gets a de-facto no-trade clause. Not a bad deal at all.
But they have Humphries and Blair signed. I wonder how he gets PT this year. Or rather, how Blair gets PT.
NBA is d now that Love is a Cav!!
I think it depends on the cost. Moving Lee, Thompson and Barnes (unless Minny wants Thompson in place of Barnes) is a pretty high cost for a lateral move. Love is better than Lee but its no like Lee is a bad player. He is a good rebounder and passer and can put up 20 points without being the focal point of an offense. Barnes isn't that good but, i guess, still has potential. Green and Iggy make him expendable. Thompson is a two way player, that could probably be a top 10 scorer on a bad team right now.
If Minny is offering Love and Martin, then that's still not enough to make it worthwhile for GSW. Martin is a lesser version of Thompson, who is currently making more and is under contract for another season after next for $7+ million.
If its just Lee and Barnes (and maybe a future 1st rounder) for Love then thats a trade than makes sense for GSW. They get Love to pair with Curry in P&Rs, keep Thompson and have Livingston as a 6th man off the bench.
From what i've heard its probably going to be Bennett and Wiggins along with a first rounder next season for Love. If thats want Minny is willing to do ,then its better to get the deal done prior to training camp.
