people and organizations from every state are helping out. Texas, as the closest state that isn't also ed up, is obviously in a position to offer shelter and give the most immediate help. Be proud to be Texan, but don't go slamming everyone else...they're all doing their part and they don't deserve your critizism. And they're not just sending supplies and money, Governor Barbour said national guard troops from states all over the U.S. are on their way. You owe 49 states an apology. hmmm....okay, 46 if we subtract LA, MS, and AL, but I digress......get off your sanctimonious high horse man.

I'm sorry to interrumpt the flaming war, but I have a question, it would be nice if someone could answer it. Are the levees still broken? Any plan to repair them has been abandoned?
This could get worse if the people that is still in the city isn't evacuated before it rains, imagine what could happen if heavy rains fall on the city with the broken levees, the water could raise even more, sinking the roofs were peple are taking shelter.
