Just put up a 47/12/10 triple double and his last 12 games are bonkers.

If not for that pathetic series against Jazz still fresh in memory, I would put him over Kawhi, tbh..He's been a superior two-way player this year, even my some margin considering his load.

Lamers missing out on this guy.

Yeah he simply doesn’t need to take jumpers. When he does it’s actually a pretty smooth looking shot, there’s just no point when his penetration is that hard to defend.

How can anyone put anyone above James until he proves he can no longer reach a level in the playoffs that none of these other players have ever proven they can hit? That's far more important than who can consistently play at a high level in the regular season . . .

    Tier 1: James.

Tier 2: Curry, Durant, Harden, Antetokounmpo, Davis.

Tier 3: Jokic, George, Embiid, Leonard.

Tier 4: Irving, Griffin, Towns, Lillard, Gobert.

Gobert, Lillard and Towns are better than Westbrook?
They have been this season and considering Westbrook is now 30, was always highly reliant on freakish athleticism and hasn't looked the same since his 4th knee surgery last off season, there's reason to think it could be permanent.

I don't care about what LeBron has done in the playoffs, he's clearly coasting into retirement now..he can't will teams to win anymore with his scoring, doesn't play defense, etc..

We probably won't even see him perform in the playoffs this year

    Well....

I know his conditioning/groin is not 100%, but these the last couple of weeks is the first time I saw Lebron try to carry a team on his back and fail spectacularly at it (it is not like he faced the Warriors every night, tbh).

It is legitimate to ask whether Lebron is still the best player in the world, at this point. Definitely, wouldn't be controversial to finally put Durant above him.

    ^^Best in the league?

He isn't even close anymore..happens to everybody at some point, this is his time..

Giannis is by far the best player in the league, but he doesn't have the playoff resume to crown him yet..I guess it's Durant, but nobody wants to give him credit for anything and rightfully so

Pedigree/reputation factors in these type of rankings, tbh.. Sample size is still not big enough, but If Lebron still look like another empty stats guy in the first two months of next season (he's gonna get all the rest he needed), I will be fine with knocking him out of Top 5.

But, yeah it happens to everyone, Duncan lost half step at the end of 2008, but the first big sign of decline happened in 2010-11 at 34-35....

Duncan aged well after his initial decline because he accepted a complimentary role(only being an offensive focal point in matchup advantages)..one of his biggest strengths as a player was humility and self-awareness..

I can't see LeBron doing that..I don't think he'll be like Kobe embarrassing himself, but I can't picture him not dominating the ball..

He's still bitter that he signed with the Lakers, plus being an ageist is part of his shtick.

It's one thing to put Curry, Durant, Harden, Antetokounmpo, Davis in a tier with James, but to put them clearly ahead is prisoner of the moment talk.

This isn't the first time people were questioning him and all he did was end any debate from the '16 Finals through last season. There's never been a player who's maintained elite standing for so long, so if anyone has earned the benefit of the doubt, it's him.

    Seriously ..

At what point this becomes rather awkward, tbh. This dude is proving to be more of an empty stat type with loser mentality than the generational franchise player everyone thought he is.

Hard to rank them right now, playoffs will probably clear who deserves to be where.

His scam so far has been very effective this season. We'll see if it carries over to POs.
