The Lions do not officially blow anymore.
They have gone from sucking to licking asshole.
From now on, it's "the Lions tongue."
Yeah, even I don't really pay attention any more.
They suck hard and with their schedule, will have a tough time winning 2 games.
Can't believe they are going to tie and possibly break the 24 game road losing streak six years after setting it.
That's just a ing sad joke.
Just another note: After the Packers drop 50+ on the Lions this weekend, that'll be their 18th consecutive divisional loss. That's the most in the last 40 years and I believe a new record.
They just don't seem to disappoint.
The Detroit Lions will start quarterback Shaun Hill again Sunday at Green Bay while Matthew Stafford recovers from a shoulder injury.
Lions coach Jim Schwartz said Wednesday that Stafford won't be healthy enough to play this week and Hill will make his second consecutive start.

More:
According to STATS LLC, the Lions' 3-40 record in their past 43 games is the lowest winning percentage of any NFL team in any 43-game span since 1920.
It really is amazing that they find new goals to reach.
That would actually be 1922...since the league was the APFA before that.
Dont be so sure. As evidenced by the last few posts, the Lions are only interested in setting records they can realistically attain.
$$$$????
Ok...1-5, 2 games back in the loss column...playoffs here we come![]()
Good to see Stanton do well, good to see the defense play out- ing-standing for two games in a row, good to see some depth at the RB position.
But its a mirage. Progress is tough to judge when no opponent takes you seriously. The Lions will be taken seriously this coming Sunday...lets see how they do there.
It's progress, brah. Baby steps, but progress nonetheless. They usually have mailed it in by now.
True progress won't happen until Stafford can find a way to stay on the field. Knowing this franchise, I'm not betting on that ever happening.
I'm not one to blow smoke, but they really aren't that far away.
seems to me the talent is there.......Stafford, Best, Calvin, Suh.....
Should be a real barn burner when you guys face the Dolphins this week...Our offense blows more the than any team right now...I think the Lions can actually win this week....If you can make more field goals than us...LOL
It's not a stretch to think the Lions could be 7-7 this season if Matthew Stafford didn't get injured in game 1. Now, I can't prove that but it's a reasonable assumption. And that would be significant progress. But like all pro sports, it's a bottomline business so speaking in hypotheticals really means jack squat. They are a more compe ive team this season compared to the previous few years. But that's still not good enough. Has to translate to more wins next season or the progress still doesn't matter.
Not yet. They still need to add some competent LBs, CBs and get some depth/replace a starter or two on the OL.
They've gotten some bad breaks with injuries and had some of the most questionable calls in the league go against them this year.
Schwartz and his staff have done an admirable job considering the hand they've been dealt this year.
I am not sold on Best at all. I actually like Morris better than him as of right now.
Patrick Patterson or Prince Amakumara and Marcus Cannon or a OLB/DE in the first two rounds would go a long way into solidifying the team's roster. Oh, it's nice to have some hope for a football team. The really scary part is that the potential success of the team still relies ultimately in the health of Matt Stafford, which is a very fragile proposition.
It's amazing what a couple of wins can do for hope... whether they end up being crushed in the next few years or not.
SUHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!
4 game win streak to end the year. WOOHOO!!!
Draft a corner/linebacker in the 1st two rounds.
Didn't want to feel left out.
Tulloch, JohnJo and re-signing Avril makes this another solid offseason. Odds of that happening? 10%
I'm guessing Joseph goes elsewhere.
that D-line is sick, tbh.
too bad Millen isn't still around though. A receiving corps of Calvin, Dez, Julio Jones, Crabtree and Randy Moss would have been sicker.
