Terry is a punk ass who was probably trying to score brownie points with the refs to offset his dirty ing play. I wouldn't want his diseased ass touching me, either.
ya, I thnk Manu saw through his phony and was still pissed off about Tony

    I doubt Terry actually cared.

See, I knew it was smart to leave the sound off.

Yeah, that series where it took them 3 tries, a stupid foul and overtime to close out the Spurs sure was definitive, wasn't it?
You mean the series that ends in six if JET can keep his hands off Finley's balls? The series where the Mavs outscored San Antonio by 11 over the last 5:24? That series?

so what's everyone's thoughts so far?

think we can still pull this out or will something give in the second half?
I think it's anyone's game. Unless Dallas starts dropping bombs.

Manu and co have to play smarter though. they're over eager. Hence the stupid shots.

I know Parker and Ginobli will be taking the bulk of shots but someone else needs to get going.

    Finley 0-1
    Barry 1-4
    Elson 2-6
    Bowen 0-4
    Oberto 2-2
    Vaughn 1-1
    Bonner 1-1

49-42 Mavs. Not bad considering we don't have TD on the floor.
Any more excuses? What about when the Mavs beat yall with Timmy there? So i suppose if the Mavs lose the the Spurs are obviously better?

That's true. Terry is the true reason why I hate the Mavs. He's a piece of on and off the court. Pretty good player though.

I didn't think the refs were that bad, they were inconsistent but didn't completely hose anyone yet. I think it's good that Dirk is MIA so far and that needs to continue, but Parker is going to have to get his damn head straight and play under control. He's letting Harris and even Terry get in his head.

It looks like the SPURS are tight. We've had several air balls and a bunch hitting the front iron. Loosen up and beat this s.

See: Salvatore, Bennet and Cuban, Mark and Baby, Cry

We always get ed over on Mavs games. I don't watch enough Mavs games to know if other teams have this issue (and therefore it's created by Mark Cuban's whining) or if we just get unlucky. Either way, by this point, I anticipate it, and I'd hope they would too and adjust accordingly.

What frustrates me in this particular game is that the calls have been inconsistent. It's bull to start calling ticky tack fouls in the closing seconds of the half that you were letting go earlier in the game. Players can't adjust to that bull .

Spurs should anticipate bull ticky tack fouls called on them when they play the Mavs and try not to commit them.
Same story as Game 3 and 4 in 2006.

I think the calls have been ok.. couple of softies but you get that. Mavss are just fouling our big 2 harder on the drive.

Tony coming ready to play in the 3rd should give us the spark we need to get the lead. Manu playing great so far.

Not true. The officiating has been a bit inconsistent with the charging call and started the game off letting the Mavs hit the legs of shooters, but they adjusted to that and called Harris on it. The Spurs just need to nut up and get physical, and they started to do it in the 2nd quarter. Now they need to forget they're playing the Mavs and shoot the ball better.
    Salvatore is always inconsistent. er.

Otherwise, your point about going in is a good one to make - Same thing Jason was yelling at the TV in the close of the half.

I think it's mental with the Mavs. The Spurs are intimidated and feel like they just can't beat them.

You don't know that. The fact that Terry likes holding balls should be what you're concerned about.

Get physical? He's blowing his whistle at everything in sight! 6'6" Finley jostling for position with Dirk, and just because that 7-foot German vagina awkwardly flails his limbs like a pansy because he can't push a smaller man around, they give him the damn call. Oberto has 3 fouls precisely because of this 7-foot charmin-soft less got selling the refs all these off-the-ball foul calls

I still get mad when I think about the officiating that series (eh, be fair, that post season) and the Spurs inability to adjust to the calls being made.

Who else feels we should do Bonner over Elson in this game?

I haven't seen ANYTHING from Elson tonight that tells me he's worth keeping on the floor

Also, I'd much rather see Barry run the point than Vaughn.

Vaughn doesn't really bring anything to the table, he's just there to not turn the ball over.

We don't have time for that in a game without TD.

These guys have got to be tired of losing to the ing Mavs... down 7 at halftime? They need to come out with intensity in the second half and kick some ass.
