McNabb always looks good the first few games of the season. Either last year or the year before he had the best first month of the season in NFL history.

its great they can do that, but when good teams take away the big plays, they have a harder time scoring points.
sure as wasnt last year they started 0-2 and he only threw 1 TD in the two games
Yeah, I couldn't remember which year he was coming off that injury. The point is, he plays great when he's healthy, but only when he's healthy, and a player is typically more likely to be healthy at the beginning of the season.
yeah, not only does he play well early in the season but early in games, and then he seems to wear down. as evidenced in the game on Monday. 30 points in the first half but only 7 in the second. stamina might be an issue here.
Actually, McNabb was responsible for 16 1st half points as Romo directly gave away 7 pts and Romo + bull ref pass interference gave away 7. McNabb didn't do for those.
Regarding the Cowboys and the big play, they've showed through 2 games that they are capable of picking up small chunks of yardage and sustaining drives. Don't know if it will continue throughout the season, but so far the offense looks like it can get it done.
In his defense, he continued to do things to get away from defensive linemen that few quarterbacks can do, and he did them over and over again against a rather good team. A guy who stands in the pocket doesn't have those things asked of him for 60 minutes.
that pass interference call was practically a makeup call for two blatantly missed facemasks.
We can talk about the Cowboys offense lack of sustaining long drives to death. Careless penalties/discipline, health, and a championship caliber D is what will be the difference of a superbowl or coming up short. Giants D was okay during the regular season but they werent great until the playoffs arrived. Their front 7 played at a championship level. Cowboys need that level of play from their guys if they really want to talk championship. There will be moments especially in the playoffs when the Cowboys O will be contained. There is no such thing as an unstoppable offense. A great D will show that to be true. It is going to be on the D. They have the talent but saying that wont mean anything if the results arent shown on the field.
i agree really with the whole post, but especially this part. cause they will run into resistance in the playoffs and they most likely wont be blowing teams out. this is where they need to get stops. obviously Spurfan knows a lot about defense, making stops, and winning championships so saying anything else on this matter is just preaching to the choir.
and the Cowboys front 7 has not (really never) shown me that they have the energy and stamina to be able to shut down an elite offense, as the Giants did throughout the playoffs last year. maybe the only exception would be the Colts from a couple years ago, and the Philly game is a perfect example of what im talking about
Yeah, I'm not sure how they missed both of those. I'm not sure either one was as game changing as that pass interference call, but 30 yards is 30 yards. It was kind of slick to be able to pull the cornerback into him and draw that flag.
