I have read most of the thread....I cant believe some would want to include Bowen and Mahinmi......

I dont see why Finley, Fab, Horry, and Udoka or Vaughn wouldnt work. Horry rides Detroits bench for a short bit before being bought out and set free to go back to retirement. Finley is released, waits 30 days and re-signs with the Spurs.

''The surprise stems from the rumbles I've heard about Detroit free-agent-to-be Rasheed Wallace, he who is chief among the Pistons unsettled by the realization that big changes are undoubtedly coming in that locker room, having legit interest in joining the Spurs to team up with his 2005 NBA Finals nemesis Tim Duncan.''

    http://blog.mlive.com/fullcourtpress..._wants_to.html
    Marc Stein

Don't know if this has been posted in this or the other Wallace thread, just more fuel to the fire.
Duncan was 'Sheed's nemesis back in the ACC as well.

Bowen, I'm ok with. He'll likely be coming back, if he's included.

However, if I'm the Spurs I don't include Ian in any trade scenario. We don't know what this kid has yet, and unless they think he's a bust, it would be insane to give up on a super-athletic, young big. They don't grow on trees. Besides, the Spurs have invested 3 years in this kid and they generally draft too obtain such a player in the near future. It would seem they can make this deal work without sacrificing him.

Sheed and a healthy Manu would put the Lakers in the rear view mirror.
Not to mention the Bawstun Celtics who we will meet and beat in the 2009 NBA Finals!!!

    Eh, I disagree.

I'm pretty much OK with including him in anything.

I like sheed as much as anyone but for people to buy into this as much as they have is bit ridiculous. Hey I hope I'm wrong.
Well football is over till this summer. The Spurs don't play again until next week and most of us are tired of all the Washington, DC political crap them idiots give us on a daily basis. $30 million to save a mouse in Nancy Pelosi's backyard. Give us a break, !

So yes, you are wrong but, it really don't matter since none of us can make the trade in the first place.

I wanna apologize for the seeming out of control thread.

I was gonna make a thread to just report what I heard on the show but someone else created one.

Again, I like the Chris and Jason show, they are good people. I think Chris Duel is a reputable guy and wouldn't tell a lie and if he tells me that this guy has inside sources that are legit, and this guy said somethings going down, I'm gonna side with them and believe it. Does it make me gullible? Maybe, but what the .

Why are you apologizing for a thread that is just discussing a rumor that was on the radio? I don't get why this is any different than any other rumor thread and why people are either bashing it or apologizing for it.

It's just a rumor thread of a possible trade scenario. It's not that serious.

Yes it would work salary wise you guys are all forgetting that the Spurs still have $2.1 mill still remaining in their budget yet to spend, that doesn't even include if they do send both fab and fin for wallace. this would be great""'; if this happens for our spurs, no doubt'' wallace is still bigtime in scoring on any given night, and consistent at threes, too plus he's still mentally tough with very physical d"' and great rebounding skills, also he is a good shot blocker too. and malik hairston would get more playing time if fin leaves too as he would step up and will fit right in as he done when given playing time so far this yr. don't be surprised if the spurs pull this great deal and don't fool yourself, it would be good deal for us mark my word". you'll see.

And the TNT ASSholes, Marv 'Toupeeonhimself' Albert, Reggie 'BigMouth' Miller, and Doug 'Never Shuts Up' Collins just announced the NBA Finals will consist of the Lakers vs. either the Celtics, Cavs or Magic. Them three dip s never even mentioned the Spurs. No wonder the only job they can get is with the loser network who's top spokesman is Charles 'Three Ton Mouth' Barkley who is on leave to clear up his hemoroids of the mouth.

I cant see how the Spurs could make the Salaries add up, unless the Spurs are putting in Udoka+Fin+Fab+Bowen

Im not sure what Detroit would want with all that trash and a 37 year old Bowen.
