How does KA put up decent numbers in Austin but not much in summer league?
I'm guessing the Spurs want to use the summer league to let others have a chance to showcase their stuff. He's not getting nearly as many touches as he did in Austin.

Not sure what people are expecting from Slowmo. Not forcing up shots and something good has happened almost every time he's touched the ball, that's exactly what you want from a bench creator. He's not a great 3pt shooter, people need to live with it

    First half thoughts:

Bertans: Best player on the court, but that's to be expected since he's been a pro since he was 15 and he's 26 now.

Anderson: Smart, has length, but often gets blown by on D and can't make a damn shot.

LJC: Defensive beast. But a deer in headlights on offense.

Lalanne: Confident. Good Defender. A better version of Ayers.

Only other player I'm intrigued by at this point is Traveon Graham. He was a 3 point specialist at VCU and has already knocked a few down here. We need another shooter since loosing Beli.

    Their team

Okafor: Wow. He doesn't look that great. Lalanne has basically shut him down and our length has bothered him a ton.

    Thank for the insight

Hard to tell how good KA is with a bunch like this.

Does Bertans have a chance of actually making the roster?

Like what I've seen in Lalanne (or however its spelled)

I do think that both Cady and LJC need to focus on being big men right now and stop trying to show they can play on the perimeter. Lalane's key to playing time next season will be based on his ability to bang down low. He seemed like a good inside scorer in college. He should show it here. LJC is a garbage man on offense. He should focus on getting putbacks and let the shots come to him.

All and all, I think the Spurs' guards (and Anderson) are doing a good job of setting up Bertans, LJC and Cady. Denmon is the only one who seems to break the offense. God, that looks like a wasted pick now.

Good take. Okafor looks small. He could really struggle against good post defenders.

Pretty bad to get Okafor and realize that he's not much better than Lalanne.

Here's the crazy stat.... Okafor standing reach is 9'3" ... Lalanne's standing reach is 9'2.5" ... 1/2 an inch difference!

Bertrans looks solid, smart shooter. Kyle should take this opportunity to to run an offense though, very passive. Lelanne is impressing

Like what I see from Cady and LJC.. Very impressed by Bertans. Reminds of JJ Re coming off screens. Our bench needs another shooter. I'm sure he can fill that void

i think they shouldn't be thinking about playing time, but instead on working on their game in the position that they have long term potential

Yeah, LJC definitely needs to focus on cutting to the basket/getting putbacks rather than trying to take spot-up jumpers.
