So are you saying Christianity is not a religion?
Some people look at Christianity as a religion. I don't. I see it as a lifestyle. I live life one day at a time. I listen to what God tells my spirit. Its conviction. Not tradition. To me religion is tradition. I don't look at my relationship with God as a tradition.
Well, if you go by the actual defenition of the word religion Christianity fits the mold perfectly. You can argue semantics all you want, but words have meanings.
"If" is the key word in your post Manny. I don't go by a definition. I have an individual relationship with Jesus Christ who I believe died on a cross so that I can be forgiven of my sins and have eternal life. I believe in His word (the bible).
Religion to me is if I were to pray the same thing prayer everyday. I don't need to be healed of a certain sickness everyday. Tomorrow I may be depressed for some reason. I don't follow a manual that tells me what to or how to pray if I were depressed. I go by what God's Spirit leads me to do. Know what I mean?
I guess I could be wrong, but the way you explain it sounds like it gives you a sense of security. That is the point I was making originally.
Kip, this is just another way in which you want to mold everything around what you want to believe or what you believe. You don't accept science you don't like and now you're changing the meaning of words as well.

Religion is geography based....if you were born on the steps of Tibet, you'll most likely be Bhuddist. If you were born in Poland you would be 99% Roman Catholic...so what does this mean....hmm....each person has evolved in each of these regions haven't they. Why are people different, skin, culture, language....all because of geography and the proximity to the elements. People have evolved within their cultures and created religion.
There is a security in knowing God is in control. But it isn't just a sense, it is a sure thing.

Nor will I force you. We all choose to believe what we all choose to believe. Of course I will be happy to discuss/debate the subject ad nauseum!

Not really Manny. It has nothing to do with what I like or don't like. There are certain things that man tries to prove or say is right in which I don't agree with. We can spend all day here naming them. Abortion, same sex marriage, what foods not to eat, and etc.
You, myself, and that person over there chooses whether or not to believe this or that is right. Am I correct? If you really study as to what "Christianity" is, its pretty simple. Its being Christ like. Do you agree? Well, if you read the bible carefully (which Christians should do) then you would read that when Jesus was here on land that He lived His life according to the Spirit of God.
In the bible it states in certain scripture that, "Jesus was led by the Spirit" and so on. That's how my relationship with God is. I try to live my life by letting God's Spirit direct me. I fail at times because of my human nature. Its not that I am trying to twist definitions around.

Now? Who controls alot of the money in this country? Who controls hollywood? What people can you not get 10 of in a room and not have a doctor or lawyer or two of each...the Jewish people.
