Junior film on Kameron Miles. He looks like the real deal: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FFh6zVGnGAQ
Add West Mesquite S Kameron Miles to the list. Per Orangebloods, Miles has been invited to the February 12th Junior Day. He goes 6'2'' 200. Interesting because Mansfield S George Baltimore was thought to be the in state safety take. Miles should be a fast riser in the rankings this summer and his senior.
Miles could also play LB because of size. Per the OB article, he had a whale of a game in playoff loss to Pflugerville Hendrickson. Miles was on Daje Johnson all night and held him without a reception.

I'm wondering if the staff is looking at Miles as a potential LB. Every year one or two guys who weren't previously talked about show up at the first Junior Day. Miles is the first for the 2013 group. Updated list for next month is below. I added Harris because he says he is going to try to make it back to Austin:
QB, Tyrone Swoopes, Whitewright
WR, Jake Oliver, Dallas Jesuit
OL, Darius James, Killeen Harker Heights
OL, Kent Perkins, Richardson Lake Highlands
OL/DL, Jake Raulerson, Celina <------------ **also visiting Jan. 27th-28th
S, Marcell Harris, South Lake (Groveland, FL)
S, Kameron Miles, West Mesquite
ATH, Ricky Seals-Jones, Sealy

Florida hires Boise State's offensive coordinator:

As always, great stuff from JS. I think DGB and Edwards go right down to the wire, but a 65% chance on both from the Big Cigar is very nice to hear.
The more I think about it, the more I think Daje Johnson should be the guy to take Thomas Johnson's spot. Dontre Wilson really likes Oregon, by that I mean I think he really likes their offense, and is going to be a tough pull. Oregon is going to continue to be a problem with DFW RBs and WRs as long as that offense is humming. Texas is going to need a utility back, I think it's a bigger need than slot WR in Harsin's system. That said, I'd love for Corey Coleman to become a Longhorn somehow.
I'd love to hear what Mack and Chip Kelly would talk about in a room alone.

From the OB thread, the West Mesquite head coach said most schools are looking at Miles as a DB. I think he can certainly play the position at Texas. Miles is about the same size as Marcell Harris. Something to think about.
I agree Miles is an off the radar guy, but I think his film is good enough to warrant serious attention from Texas. Honestly, I like Miles film a lot better than George "The Wire" Baltimore's film. Miles very well could be the best junior safety in the state.
that is one of a list to start off with to say the least.
He looks big! He has the look of a linebacker.
I'm excited to see what Diaz does with LB recruiting for 2013 because of the pass-heavy Big XII. He loves OLBs like Cobbs who can cover a lot of ground so that's why I'm curious about UT's intentions with Miles. Either way I'm on board if he has the endorsement of Akina and Diaz.
Some interesting news. DB DeVante Harris has cancelled his official visit to Oregon this weekend and will instead visit Texas A&M. Oregon is not out of it but I wonder if this has anything to do with his name being attached to street agent Baron Flenory in the last week. WR Thomas Johnson is still scheduled to make a trip to Eugene.
2013 WR Jake Oliver will also attend Texas A&M's Junior Day on January 28th.
Forgot to mention that Harris' father, Rod, played WR for the Aggies back in the 80s. Harris will also visit Ohio State on January 27th-28th.
It should only get better.
lol tech
lol greatest win in history came in regular season
lol getting ass rammed on a yearly basis
Per Hook 'Em 24/7, 2013 DT Justin Manning of Dallas Kimball has confirmed he'll be in Austin next month for the first Junior Day. He's the defensive prize for the state of Texas, imo. The staff has turned up the heat with his recruitment lately. To give you an idea of what kind of talent he is, these are his sop re highlights:

I think everybody on that list will be offered, including Miles. Amazing turnaround on Manning. From skipping Texas summer camps to First Junior Day visitor and possible early commitment. Bo. Davis. Is. A. Witch.
The only person I can recall who wasn't offered at the first Junior Day in the past two years was 2011 DE Nathan Hughes of Klein Oak who ended up at OU.
It looks like WR Dorial Green-Beckham will forgo that final official visit to Arkansas after all. His Hillcrest basketball team has a tournament in St. Louis from the 19th to the 21st. It's a plus for Texas that he won't be in Fayetteville for their big recruiting weekend. His next move will be a National Signing Day commitment.
Stroke of genius getting DGB on campus in November for his official visit before the meat of the basketball season. Wyatt deserves a medal for this one.
boo-yahhhh
Has Dorial visited Arkansas before?
Yeah, he has, which is why I'm not going to take TOO much out of it.
How does Jake Oliver feel about Texas? After watching some videos, I really like him in the 2013 class, but I read his father played and coached at A&M. Not sure how much that will factor into his decision.
