cause it wasnt if he jumped from 2 feet he would have landed with a red mark on his hand and that would have been it. he jumped off 1 foot and when you breathe on somebody while they are in the air like that they collapse

I just watched the replay multiple times on league pass. Ariza deliberately went for head with one of those "I'm going to pretend to swipe at the ball from behind him when I have no chance and the only thing I'm really doing is smacking his head" moves. Anyone who's played basketball knows this move. You go up with the guy, you're behind him, he's extending away from you towards the rim, you do NOT swipe because you have no chance. Unless you're just a pissed off thug and you want to send a message. Then you swing, hard, catch a little bit of the ball with your fingertips, and smack his head with your elbow.

Then (which you apparently missed), on the follow through, Ariza GRABS Rudy's arm and YANKS it sideways and downwards. This spins Rudy in the air and makes him go horizontal. From there, there's no way to land without banging yourself up pretty badly.

What in Ariza's past suggests to you he makes thuggish plays? Cuz I can't think of any

It was a hard foul man, and maybe he shouldn't of been as aggressive w/ the game out of reach, but I seriously doubt he meant to do him harm.

However, when a guy is flying through the air and you go through his head to get the ball....that just goes beyond a hard foul at that point.
