I remember during the 2000-2001 and 2001-2002 playoffs, the Spurs would easily put up 50 or 60 in the 4th.
lol
j/k
If anyone remebers the Spurs during those playoffs, you'll get the joke.
I recall seeing the Spurs scoring their first 10-pts in the paint...then they started to settle for outside shot attempts, what gives?
Play in the PAINT...Tim proved that in the 4th quarter...but Barry came through for us from beyond the arch. Too many weapons for the Spurs.
Duncan, Gino, Parker, Barry, and Horry...GREAT GAME!
Go Spurs Go

ALL the PRESSURE in on the Suns to win Game2.
The Spurs have their split @PHX, they stole HCA, Suns are in a deep hole, under heavy pressure.
I was thinking the same twincam. The Spurs needed to stick with paint scoring, it was working in the 1st, until we shot a bunch of 3's. Bowen missed like 3 consecutive three pointers. Amare picked up 2 fouls in the 1st quarter, and we should have made him pick up his 3rd in the 2nd so he wouldn't have scored like 20 on us in the 2nd.
Boutons, will you concede now that these spurs are tough on the road?
We played pretty good today but we let Jim Jackson get too many open 3s. We also need to play better defense on Nash because he is gettin open jumpers in the lane. Marion wasn't really a factor, Stephen Hunter got all these calls and made some shots but that won't happen again. Joe Johnson might be back Game 2 but I don't know how much he will contribute. If Spurs play as good as they did today but better defense will can win Game 2. Also, Barry needs to continue his hot shooting.
If the Suns lose game 2, they are in trouble!
Spurs wont lose 2 straight home games!
bout time berry came through for us and don't forget robert horry

They were inarguably a mediocre road team in the season.
But so far in the playoffs, they have been very tough on the road, 4-2.
They definitely put up 40 in some quarters of the 2003 WCF against the Mavs. Don't know about the 4th quarters.
Yes! Try and stop them and keep them from getting easy baskets, especially with the Spurs FT history. All the Spurs need is for the Suns to be scoring 2's, and the Spurs missing their FT's. Making them work for a shot and use up the clock.
Have you played bball before? In that situation you make them take a couple of seconds off the clock, and give them a two. You don't let them hit a three, don't let them get an And 1.
You're up 8, the only thing that really kills you is three points, however they get it.
There was nothing wrong with how we let them play it out.
The Spurs scored like 41 in the fourth quarter of the overtime game against the Suns.
Man, that Suns defense is something, isn't it?
Yeah Barry finally stepped up and made shots. We will need that from him this series.
Actually it's more like Suns defense < Spurs offense. Our first two baskets of the game, from Manu and Duncan right at the basket went completely uncontested--Suns didnt even bother trying to put their hands up or anything.
more like Suns Defense = Nonexistent
D is hat wins rings. But we knew that all along . . .
That was great, we mainly got the spark from Barry and Horry's 3 point shooting.
Great Game, GO SPURS!!!
The closer we get to the rings the better HOrry plays. It's like he can smell them.
Spurs in 3; after getting shilacked in game 3, The Suns skip town and become a pack of traveling recluses.
The Suns can't protect the paint. We should be driving in every chance we get.
Yes I have! But you're letting them get an easy 2, and with the Spurs FT problems, it's not a good strategy. I understand what you're saying. You make your FTs and take care of business, but if you're missing them, it's a different story. TP missed that last FT, but Marion couldn't come up with the RB, so all we can do is speculate what could've happened. Knowing that the Suns would try to keep the ball out of Ginobili's hands, TP would likely be the one shooting FT's. Pop has to know that they're not a good FT shooting team, so why put pressure on themselves. I just didn't like the way it played out in the last 25 sec's or so. It's almost like the Spurs thought the game was over, and to me it wasn't!
