Nook Color is still #winning
lol Amazon with the 3rd world tablet still overpriced
Nook Color is still #winning
Yeah, and how much of that is usable. Stock the NC comes with 8GB but with only 5 GB usable (the rest is a system par ion, etc). LOL, Amazon, I love you, but damn you stoopid.
What's especially dumb is the reason it has such limited memory is because they expect you to use it with cloud based services, but it's a WIFI only device, seems like a bad mix to me.
Forrester Research must have been paid off by Amazon.
Maybe ... just maybe ... it has a slot for MicroSD. That's the only way I could see this having any chance, but it's still stupid.
Tiger Direct has the 32G for $199 w/ Belkin Tablet Sleeve and extra power adapter:

Still waiting for android port.... Tried using the stat tracker for fantasy football on yahoo and it wouldn't load. I was hoping it would. Haven't spent much time on it. Plus I'm still waiting for my case from Amazon I ordered last week to come in. After that I would expect heavy usage.
For about ten minutes, apparently.
TD's had this a couple of times in the last week. QVC had a bundle last week and supposedly will again tomorrow, maybe at 3PM central.
CyanogenMod 7 for TouchPad:

Ok, the Splashtop Remote HD app is in the app catalog. Connect to your computer remotely and run your desktop in a card (mul ask on your computer on your touchpad while mul asking on your touchpad - LOL). Anyway, Manny, it looks like you don't HAVE to lug that 6 lb laptop around anymore.
I'll have to wait to see how good that app is. I'll mess with it later.
yeah, I don't have time at the moment, but from what I am reading on precentral it seems to be working well.... Also, I have a friend who ran into some money troubles and is selling his 32 GB TP for $200 if anyone wants it.
looks like we will see ice cream sandwich debut before cm7 makes it to the touchpad. the developers refuse to release an alpha. my guess is gingerbread is released november at the earliest. i hope so. web os is meh.
Finally got a notice tonight from HP (SMB) saying my TP will ship within 2 weeks!!! It's taken a long ass time, but for $99 I'm not complaining too much!
Checked my back account and it showed a charge for my order from the 7th of October. Went to the order status page on HP site and it said it was shipped sunday and should arrive today. Thats badass.
Edit * NVM. I guess my order keeps showing that it shipped, but then changes back to not shipped. So who knows if I will even get it.

It'll keep doing that until you get an actual shipping confirmation. They diddle with it daily, adjusting the delivery date. Did you get an email a week or so ago from them saying it would ship soon?
Give them a call. Now that the big rush is over, the wait times aren't but a minute or two typically. They can confirm your order ... but won't give any more than a generic estimation of delivery date.
No i never got an email saying it would ship soon. I just randomly checked my bank statement and it showed a transaction for it. I just checked my bank statement and the charges are gone. I'm not in dire need of the touchpad, just going to sell it to my friend but I wish they will tell me if I'm getting one or not.
I'll have to give them a holla tomorrow.
dont fret man the touchpad is not too much to get excited about other than the price tag. Maybe im just spoiled because of the ipad 2 but i bought and sold about 7 touchpads with no desire to keep one.
Well I already have one. I got one from best buy back in august. I use it to read one of my textbooks. I also use it to keep up with fantasy football live tracker on yahoo. It doesn't have nearly the amount of apps as the iPad but I'm enjoying it. Also put some books on it though I haven't read any of on it. Just waiting for Android now.
I have really enjoyed its functionality (especially at the price) and since the introduction of the splashtop remote desktop app, I have been extremely pleased with it.
Mainly use mine as an ereader and for internet access.
I definitely think its meh though. Especially for the price. Eagerly watching the CM7 team's progress on putting android on it, though!
You are not using it for note taking in class?
CM7 released an alpha version.
