That's what he did tonight.
Thank God you'll only be here a few days and try to make a few witty posts such as this and then be gone though.
Dude, cheer up. There's only two possible scenarios:
1) Mavs win it all
2) Avery gets fired.
I prefer the first, but the second is a nice consolation prize, albeit more likely.
That's what he did tonight.

it really sucks to know that your team is finished. eternally finished.
and the Lakers, I don't care if I'm welching, they're out of my profile.
Well maybe if you cleaned yourself up once in awhile someone would stay
my 4 biggest keys to the game and what do they have in common...AVERY![]()
- avery takes George out for Craphouse when Devean was guarding Kobe very well and getting rebounds/loose balls
-Damp 9 rebounds in 19 minutes but he does not play him on D at the end of the game thus the mavs give up 2 crucial offensive rebounds, one to Sasha and one to Odom which resulted in 4 extra points
-27 minutes for Kidd is ridiculous against a top team in the west
-have your lowest BB IQ guy in J-Ho throw the ball in and hit Dirk in the ankles and have the best passer in the game standing in the corner
Good points.
I have no idea what Avery is thinking about JKidd, you traded away your future to win now but then when the game is on the line, you don't use the guy. Just doesn't make any sense.
And yup, when JHo hit Dirk in the friggin foot on the inbounds, you knew the Dirk wasn't going to make that last shot.
Once again, another game where Avery's over-coaching and confusing loyalties come into play. Too much Stackhouse tonight. Why aren't they playing their bigger lineup against a team missing Gasol and Bynum? Never allowing a lineup to get into a flow because the coach is constantly barking from the sidelines and swapping out guys every time play stops.
The talent and the potential are there. When they play at their best for a full 48, they're pretty amazing and can take out anyone. Thing is - how is that ever to come to fruition when they have these long lapses and the coach doesn't know what to do?
I hate this loss because it magnifies the 0-6 vs. +.500 thing, Dallas will once again be put under the microscope and the fears will come out (despite almost everyone around them losing recently, as well) and we'll all have to endure the talk of the trade being a bust.
We've all talked over the past few weeks that they had to take 2-3 from this 3-game stretch. Well, that simplifies the goal for the next two. Now they have to win them both. I'm not on the ledge. I was there for the game and could tell there was a discernible difference between that first half slop and the extra gear from midway through the 3rd-on. They're capable of great things.
But Kidd ing blew goat tonight. And did I mention Stackhouse?
I agree completely. This team has some incredible potential. They just gotta make sure they peak at the right time. That is all I care about. If they peak the way that Golden State did last season, then they might be just about unstoppable.
I feel the same way. But I've basically lost trust in this team. They could start to win their fair share of games against other elite teams and I still would not feel good heading into the playoffs. I don't get Avery at all -- Kidd plays 27 minutes, and doesn't inbound the final play? WTF? I understand Avery going with the quicker lineup and riding it while they were getting us back into the game late in the third, but Kidd didn't check back in until halfway through the fourth. WTF?
As for the players, this is a must-win game, the Lakers had their own reasons for approaching this game with urgency, and our players don't hustle and bring 100% effort in the first half? The playoffs have already begun.
The trade wasn't a bust, they wouldn't be doing any better with Devin right now. And there are only four "gimmes" left - that gets them to 48 wins. I think it will take 52 to make the playoffs, 55-56 to get a good seed. They're going to have to start winning their share of games against elite teams to make the playoffs.I hate this loss because it magnifies the 0-6 vs. +.500 thing, Dallas will once again be put under the microscope and the fears will come out (despite almost everyone around them losing recently, as well) and we'll all have to endure the talk of the trade being a bust.
I agree the potential for this team is high, but they have yet to prove they can put it all together, from the coaching staff to the players.
