Saw that CM7 release an alpha version, but I'm just gonna wait to a full working version is out.
Just saw that!

Don't really take notes, honestly. Only class I would do so is in my Physics class but he posts the lectures so I just pay attention and review the lectures if I need to (although not really its all equations).
One good thing about taking mainly math and science courses is that there's not all that much memorization involved. There are concepts that make sense and what I forget I can derive.
Sweet on the alpha. Gonna install that when I get home.
So I guess they released it last night?? ing awesome. I'll def do an install when I get home tonight. I'll be happy to send in bugs to get it off the ground faster.
Ahh - netflix is working on it.
Fair enough. I feel the same way about my finance class (plus any notes that I take are usually drawing, which I can't do). However, I do take notes in my marketing class and the TP works well for it.
Drachen are you a business minor? I'm taking finance and marketing now and a business minor. In for finance class we have have a note packet that we write in. I could see taking notes in my marketing class since everything is definitions, but i prefer handwritten. Same way with my MGMT class. We have a note pack.
Went ahead with the install. Since you keep WebOS you don't really have anything to lose.
Let me know how it works. I am in no hurry since I am pretty satisfied as is.
Its been OK. Happy to have the app catalog. Definitely some issues still, though. Install was easy as and you keep WebOS too.
easy install? im reluctant o install. at the rootz wiki forum people constantly either say thanks for your work but here are my bugs a,b,c,d. ill wait for a beta. for the cynaogen team an alpha=beta a beta=stable and stable= daily rom
There are definitely bugs, but for me having android browsing, blue tooth, and apps is worth the occasional bug.
And yeah, the install was easy as . Copy files to TP, run script off a command prompt, you have android.
Manny, do you have one of the HP blue tooth keyboards? If so, does it work on the cm7 alpha build?
I do not. I just have some BT stereo headphones that I use for music listening. They did not work on the touch pad but they work now. Why don't you try to pair your keyboard with a phone running CM7 to see if it works.
You really should just do the install though. You don't lose WebOS.
mind linking me the best guide or instructions? im not new to android but it took me a while before i rooted my phone, when it was basically down to not even needing a pc thats how easy it was.
oh yeah. how many of the apps you use actually work?
webOS 3.0.4 is out: pairing with non-webos phones, non-hp keyboards, smoother interface, etc. I am DLing right now, will let yall know when I have had a chance to run it for a while.
Best guide (and only one I've seen) is on the rootzwiki forum. Basically you copy a few files over in a folder on the TP and then run a script from your PC. Was super easy and if you've ever rooted anything youshould be fine.
The new webos seems to break the boot loader so I'm going to hold off for now.
Not that I've used itsince I got android
In my limited amount of time to test it, this update is very smooth. Of course, it kills all of your patches and kernels, etc. So this is a completely stock experience and I think it is smoother than my hacked experience previously.
So I did it, and confirmed that the keyboard does work with CM7. Also, it runs quite smoothly. I haven't had any FC's or anything.
Yeah I've had NP trouble with the second alpha.
Its impossible to get wifi to work. its such a struggle. my problem is i cant stick to android full time. its not working that well yet. so i switch back and forth. mostly to charge the battery. android still has that problem with the battery life. how do you set up wifi? it just keeps connecting forever and freezing.
