His limitations as a player aside, the blasé way with which Mills has been talking about his struggles and other soundbites give off the typical vibes of someone who let himself go over the summer after he getting paid..

If this the culture PATFO are afraid of losing, then they can go themselves..Any other GM/President of basketball OPs not named Pop or Buford would have been tarred and feathered by all these NBA mavens online and in the media for a similar signing.

This has been so far the Spurs' version of the 2016 Mozgov/Deng/Noah abominations.....

his limitations have always been there, but he's still fine as a bench sparkplug. once the team counts on him to be anything more than that, he gets exposed. it's not a startling revelation... but that's exactly why his contract was absurd. they are paying him to be more than a microwave.

Maybe it’s the reason the Holts are getting divorced. Keys turned over to the wife who overspent on a pudgy Aussie
It's gotta be the reason IMO.. She stood by through all the drinking, but Patty has torn their family apart.

It's time to start benching one of the 37 guards populating this roster, that can't shoot with a degree of consistency, run an offense or defend. Especially with the current bizarre rotation (starting virtually all available size and playing micro ball off the bench).

Mills should be the leading candidate to get this treatment first (there's so many candidates, it should be moved around though). Give him his initial 1st quarter stint and if he doesn't have it again, he should be done for the night.

What is the point of letting this scrub continue to wet himself with more exposure as a starter? Until teams actually begin asking for the Spurs first rounder(s) to take him off our hands ?

In some of those games him actually scoring could have been the difference. It’s really the only reason Pop starts him...

The only reason he's starting is because some Cleveland Trump supporter called him a Jamaican dog

    He's never been a scorer.

A shooter is not a scorer.

It's like Pop putting Steve Kerr in starting lineup instead of Elie in 99, and having Kerr be 2nd on the team in minutes.

Or Neal in the starting lineup instead of Danny Green in 2013.

    That's who Mills is.

^ At least Kerr could shoot and was clutch while Neal actually was a scorer who could get you buckets if you need some.

Mills isn't even really a shooter these days, he's so bad. He's simply a chucker. A glorified Eddie House.

    This. A chucker.

Oh, but his Instagram is funny and so are his H-E-B ads. You cannot put into value what he brings to this team. /s

Think we have only PATFO to blame for this roster.
Kiwi would conceal a lot but these things were predictable.

You wanna trade him? You were ragging for him to start last year

i’m for making the team better. kawhi, la with patty in SL > them with parker in SL. i also wanted murray to start over parker last year, even wanted old ass andre miller to take his minutes.

never said patty should be the starting PG for years to come. after the spurs lost to OKC in the playoffs i said on here that i’d be fine with trading patty if it meant trading tony as well. this season i’ve posted trade scenarios involving both.

He needs to go. As I said they will never win a single game againt GSW playing Paddy big minutes. The fact that his dry spell against GSW seems to be over is the kiss of death. Spurs would have been better off hadhe shot the ball like last season and the! Giving up and starting White.
    It wouldn't be fair.

That stat is largely irrelevant..obviously Mills is going to have worse raw on/off numbers when he's one of the few players on the team that has a big role and one of
only 2 that gets consistent minutes in meaningful parts of the game..

Poor guy..it's not like his game really fell off, he's the same as he's always been, just in a role he isn't suited for..blame Pop and Buford, don't see how anybody can blame Patty, every single one of you would have taken that 50 million and ran

I vehemently told all of you here in this forum (in the two weeks prior to the free agency period starting) that the Spurs should NOT re-sign Patty unless it was a dirt cheap deal. Anything more than getting him at a dirt cheap price, I wanted to let him walk as I didn't think he was worth much more than his previous contract (basically I wanted him gone unless he was stupid enough to re-sign for something like 6M, which I still didn't really want him back for, but I would have relented if he accepted an offer like that).

There was not many people here in the forum that said a darn thing. Look at you all now. You ALL want him gone. Why did all you people (before you saw the contract numbers) want him back? He's a useless player if you're trying to win playoff games and a Championship, which correct me if I am wrong, is what the Spurs are/were trying to do.

How some of us message board warriors could figure it out years ago but Pop & RC couldn't...really is frustrating.
