You live on 3’s, you die on 3’s. They’re there, just not making them. But almost a triple-double again for Wemby. Moving on.
Plus sochan broke left thumb wasn’t he practicing his stupid one handed ft all this time off…come back n shoot 50%! Not playing doesn’t hurt free throws that was dumb whoever said that it’s a freaking unguarded shot u don’t need to be in shape or have rhythm n u don’t ever stop practicing them considering his shooting hand wasn’t hurt n he shoots one handed

We're not ready yet.
The most positive thing is that we're not getting blown out even when the offense is horrible, we manage to stay in games, just one bad blowout loss against the Rockets.
With that being said, I'm all for Wemby shooting a lot of threes if he's feeling it, but he's not Steph and he shouldn't keep chucking if it's not falling.
Devin is our by far the biggest perimeter threat and Jeremy looked good considering it's his first game back.
Five game homestand coming up, with Kings being the strongest opponent. Anything less than 4-1 would be a disaster before long road trips start happening.
Disaster if we're to make the play-in, that is.
6 out of the next 7 are at home and none have a better record than us.
Hard agree that Wemby needs to find other ways to get his game going when the 3 isn’t falling.
I also think we’re past due to move Vassell into the SL.
We’ve been starting games slowly.
I’d have him go in for Castle right now to give us early juice on offense.
That gives us a shooter at every position and makes room for Sochan’s eventual return to the SL as the only non-shooter.
Give Castle a lot minutes by playing him all of the backup PG and SG.
Making Mason Plumlee (in 2024, nonetheless!) look like an All-NBA big is not a good look for our guys.
It’s almost weird that when victor hits his threes early he will stop shooting as much and start going to the paint or midrange more, but when he misses early he will just keep shooting worse and worse shots as if to prove to the world that he can make them.
Totally agree. I can't say I'm happy about the outcome of the game, but the fact that the Spurs only lost by 10 while shooting so horribly from outside is a bit encouraging. A year ago the Spurs would have lost this game by 30.
Does anyone else think that ugly bright orange court messed with the Spurs 3 pt attempts? It certainly hurt my eyes as a viewer.
Holding a suns team with durant to 104 pts is pretty good. Scoring 93 isn’t.
They shot 18% after making 23 3pts and 50% the previous night. The shots just didn’t fall. They made decent shots, they win that game.
Seems like the Spurs have won more games with Sochan not playing since the end of last year when he was out.
I do agree that wemby needs to chill on the 3 all the time, him chucking 3s especially logo ones takes away the whole advantage of being the tallest player out there
A road game at POR got thrown into the mix, but we now have 3 games at home, @POR, then 3 more at home. At home vs MIN will be the toughest test. On paper, 6-1 looks doable but we at least need a 5-2 out of this.
Which is why they need a more varied offence when the shots aren’t falling. Having wemby, Vassell and sochan around should allow some level of mid range inside scoring. Paul is a mid range maestro, castle should be able to drive.
We do not have the level of shooting like the celtics, where they can just sub another shooter in when the current shooter isn’t hitting, the spurs have champaigne, Vassell and Barnes as somewhat decent shooters. Mamu and bran ham doesn’t get too many minutes, wemby is good for a 7’3” Center but not good as a player, everybody is below average. If Barnes champaigne or Vassell is off we just don’t have anyone to turn to. Sure getting a two and giving up a 3 is a -1 possession, but clanking a 3 and giving up a 3 is a -3. When the spurs are cold, they have to turn up the d and score some inside.
