Kicking things off early as this ain’t no regular degular early December match! These two clubs are competing for an eventual shot at the NBA Cup!!!

Spurs win = winning West Group B and moving on to knockout rounds

Spurs loss = still have a chance at a wild card spot

    Suns favoured by 7.5

Injuries: Tre Jones OUT, Sochan GTD for the Spurs. Nurk OUT, Beal GTD for Suns.

MannyIsGod and I will be hosting a “Watch the Emirates NBA World Cup Court Painting” viewing party. Yes that is right not even a sped up version; actually live footage for those interested! Streaming link to follow.

    Let’s fking goooooo!!!!!!

Too bad Nurkic is out, he's too slow for us.
They'll probably play small most of the game, I don't want to see extended minutes for Collins.

KD will match up with Wemby, hopefully Wemby can tire him out and prevent him from being efficent on the other and of the floor.
Castle needs to stop Booker, we can live with Beal getting his.

Bench needs to be the difference and win the game for us.

The most consequential game the Spurs have played in a long time. This would be a huge win if the Spurs can pull it off.

Off topic. I was surprise about the Rockets, how come they they’re on 2nd seed right now with no MVP candidate on the team. Who is playing well for them?

The woeful Nets beat them at Sun’s home last Wednesday with Martin scoring 30pts and Simmons almost a double-double in a high scoring game. Suns has no interior defense. I like Castle (and Sochan) to keep attacking the ring. Wemby/KD can neutralize each other. Bassey can redeem himself being aggressive rolling hard. Spurs has a good chance to win this. GSG!!!

No esoteric location time zones in the thread le = built in excuse if we don't win. Way to go, KingKev.

the team has been surprisingly good this season but I’d be pretty shocked if we won this. Suns are one of the better teams in the league with two superstar players and Wemby embarrassed them early last year in two games.

Biggest game in years for the org. Advancing in the cup to the knockout rounds alone would be a major achievement after last season's disaster. GSG!!!

Did I just subconsciously jinx us in an effort to downplay the relevance of the NBA cup? Maybe. I do sometimes identify as a boomer who doesn’t like change.

    But still GSG!!!

Suns are a top heavy team, with Jeremy back our bench needs to outplay and outscore theirs if we're to win the game.
They have no paint presence other than Plumlee, we need to attack the rim more.

We have a better record than the Suns at this point and they're not even playing bad.

really curious to see how the starting lineup unfolds now that we're at full health (minus Tre, who isnt in the starting equation)

i think with Tre out, there's more reason to bench Castle to have him be the primary reserve PG as well as getting some SG minutes as he has. now is he replaced by Vassell or Sochan? and if both of those guys end up starting, does Champagnie get the boot? he's been doing well, feels weird to demote him.

11-9 is, in fact, not better than 11-8.
