Smells like Pop is coaching from the shadows with these rotations tbh.

we just mitch to stop his bull with sochan as a center
Agreed. Was yelling at the TV. Anyone with half a brain would’ve known before tipoff that the Knicks would just run around him down low. You need Bassey as an anchor to deter. Jeremy can rebound but he’s not a rim protector. Is Mitch pulling a tankathon for Pop? Jfc

new york has 0 difference makers, so how do you explain that?
The Knicks are stacked. They don’t have depth, but their top 6 are really good.

The contracts to Dev, Keldon and Zach were so shortsighted by PATFO. Giving out long term contracts to guys that did well on bad teams is always a big no-no and now the spurs are paying for it.
Keldon's isnt bad in the grand scheme of things, but agreed on the other two and the sentiment.

Bridges going off for 15 points in the last 7 minutes of the 4th qtr and scoring 41 overall certainly suggests he's a difference maker. Or at least he can be at times, along with Brunson and Towns. Spurs don't have a single guy outside of Wemby we can rely on to score points consistently. Castle is the only other plus defender on our roster but he can't shoot the ball, which forces him to take bad/forced shots at the rim that almost never go in or get blocked, so he's largely unplayable in close games, despite us desperately needing his defense.

Really? Cause I see a guy like Champ doing things that Keldon can’t do on a fundamental level. Like it’s criminal how much the Spurs are paying Keldon.

Keldon signed an extension two years ago, it was way under rookie max extension. He's made no improvements whatosever since, but it's an easily moveable contract.
Devin is paid way more and is nowhere to be seen, with just as bad defense.

I'm not buying rust and lack of rythm arguments when it comes to basic rotations on defense.

Just way too many losers on the team tbh. Can't wait til we turn over 90% of this roster and bring in actual winning players with BBIQ.

The more losses like this, the better tbh. And sooner rather than later. Really helps you weed out who needs to be jettisoned.

Is Castle afraid to elevate in traffic? He has moments where he shows serious bounce (that breakaway dunk in the 2nd), yet when near anyone he always resorts to his deceleration move that seems to get blocked half the time. Early in the season he had a 1v1 break against Jalen Green and he bailed out on a play that should’ve been a layup or free throws, seemed almost scared to test Jalen Green of all people. I’m a big fan of Castles potential, just feels like there’s some kind apprehension on his part to fully commit to rim attacks.

Vassell is a liability on defense and doesn't score, not our #2.

Last 2 games were highly winnable. We couldn't execute in clutch time. Of course it's easier at home than away. Let's hope this is a good lesson for our guys.

Problem is we know they won't jettison the players that need to be. Watch them trade Castle over Vassell tbh.

There's no way they trade Castle, but they'll certainly keep him benched in favor of Devin.

God if they do that, I’ll be rooting for Wemby to play somewhere else. Like freaking seriously.

you guys really need to stop considering castle as a sf/sf, he's simply not in any way shape or form and no he is not capable of defending them, at all.

Well he cant be a pg or shooting guard if he cant shoot. Its gonna effect his ability to make plays if he cant shoot.

he can shoot but he doesn't need to as a pg, he can penetrate which is more important as a pg.

Spurs are 10-7 when Castle plays 30+ minutes, 2-6 when he plays 20 or fewer.
thats called garbage time in most cases

To me he looks like a two foot leaper. I don't think he can elevate as well off of one foot on the run. Maybe needs a clear path to plant and elevate off of two feet, so he can't really penerate and get up there? Not sure, though, as I'm/was the opposite of a high flyer. I can talk about shooting, but not really about dunking. Someone else might have to chime in about this one.

I’m gonna give Vassell a pass, he’s coming off multiple injuries, he may not fully have his legs under him till next yr

sucks losing two winnable games in a row but fun game, Wemby’s talent on full display in MSG

CP3 and Victor are the only serious compe ors on the team. And it hasn’t taken long for some of these dudes compete level to start pissing CP3 off. Some of these players are low iq and goofy Af. It’s annoying to guys who take winning seriously.

“They young”’ or “Need experience”’ is an excuse.

Sure in the does looks like Pops stinky fingers are all over these rotations. Also, it's definitely not Jeremy's fault... he played very well as he has been lately. Bassey IS NOT THE ANSWER either. Maybe Collins would have contributed in a better way than what we got from the center positions.

Knicks rotation is also fairly short, it's just that they're way better rebounders than our guys.
Mitch obviously doesn't trust Bassey and Achiuwa is just 6'8. One player can't fix our rebounding issues.

Jeremy is put in a lot of positions, tbh. He either has to chase small guards around or has to play as a big.
