No one really gives a about your predictions tbh, you have no rep as anyone reliable so not sure why you keep touting your "sources" like you have any
This^^. You would have to spend a whole day searching through the forum to compile a list of his terrible predictions and takes in a thread.

Maybe the FO just wanted to flip Splitter via cap space for a center who isn't made of glass and they never cared about Aldridge.
They were probably done dealing with his mystery ailments. But I do think Aldridge was the main play.

Phoenix needed to dump those players to create space for TC and Sarver is notoriously cheap so it makes sense. Banger was long gone, our QO would have not meant anything if Detroit was wiling to pay 3/20 off the bat in a fairly quick deal. Tiago is the mystery and the Spurs pulled the trigger fast either knowing they have a way to get Aldridge or just being fed up with Splitters inability to heal quickly or play through mystery injuries. He went to a good organization and we don't know exactly what we would get in return, lots of moving parts right now.

Ultimately Aldridge will come here though, that's my belief, he's just taking his time to make sure everyone has had an opportunity to say everything they can to him and he's taking a 2nd with Lakers because of basketball reasons, maybe they have a plan to trade for someone and he needs to know about it. It's a process but he's going through it meticulously. It's only day 2 of FA.. Plenty of time to figure out what we will do once we land him and if we don't plenty of time to make deals, call FA's, see who's available overseas, Summer League guys..
You don't burn your LA bridges at his age. He's ensuring they are still intact.

A center who plays 50% of the time is better than no center at all. It is even worse if you want to spare Duncan from having to work his ass off.
Maybe that's not how they were thinking.

The fact that it happened moments before they're meeting with LMA too

Yeah, I was actually being facetious. But also suggesting they're okay with moving Splitter regardless. With a max cap space they can straight up absorb players.

The grind was probably getting to him.. He wasn't used to this kind work load for so long playing in europe

The benefits of signing the huge deal in two years when the cap rises significantly outweigh the current MAX deal the Blazers can offer. All you have to do is remain healthy for two years.
    Right. Not guaranteed.

Okay, I know Portland can offer him a lot more money + an extra year...but surely he wouldn't seriously consider returning there if Batum, Matthews, and Robin Lopez are all gone...right?

    Right. Not guaranteed.
Well worst case, you can't sign any contract in two years and have millions still to show for it.

    I'm offically getting really worried.

if he had made up his mind in anyway, he would not be taking second meetings, and teams like the Suns would not be fire selling if they were only a chance to get him. Im really happy we resigned Danny and Kawhi but we have litterally no depth at the 5 and in the current market I dont know if our cap space will get anyone available thats as good as either Tiago or Banger
The Suns gave up three terrible players, if you see them trade Markieff Morris though then you'll know LMA is about to commit to them.

Right, multi millions less than if you'd taken the guaranteed 5yr deal on the table.

Never thought I'd say this Tuesday night, but damn Aminu looks like a bargain at 4 years, $30 million in comparison. I can't believe Matthews is being offered anything more than one year deals.

Damn, that Lopez money rumor ... I'd rather the spurs dumped splitter to NY for nothing than give him to a le contender for almost nothing if that's how it turns out

Atlanta isn't really a Spurs contender, but it does strengthen a Cleveland contender which is a benefit.

I really wonder what kind of offers Spurs were getting for Splitter on draft night.. Picks or players

He's not the sharpest guy in the shed.. I'd take that money and run.
