The chemistry and confidence from that years team and this years is worlds different. Can this team come back not sure but we'll see.

I just don't get it! Tim had a terrible offensive game today! And Tony wasn't very special either!!! THIS !!!!

Especially if you are ing 7 feet tall...
Tony really didn't seem very focused for this game, Duncan played scared and with no confidence.
we need to win gm 2 by 20 to send a message, if game 2 is won or lost within a 6 point margin then i'm REALLY worried
omg...if the Spurs dare to even let Denver CLOSE to winning game 2, then I will be pissed. They better be prepared to kick some ing Denver ass...but I have no idea how, considering no one can shoot, or play defense...
I mentioned in one of the matchup threads last week that the Nuggets have upped their trips to the FT line significantly since Karl took over. The last 29 games or so, they were up over 30 FT attempts per game.
The disparity at the line was a killer for the Spurs tonight. The Nuggets went to the line 30 times, hitting 22 of them. The Spurs only went to the line 19 times, at home, no less. They made 16 of them. The more aggressive team gets the benefit of the calls more often than not.
thats their biggest flaw, i mean even when we missed 17 straight, we were in the game but once again, too many games with offensive lapses, and like previous years where we ddint go all the way, it was our offense not our defense that cost us a trip to the finals
Since the all star break the nuggets are something like 25 and 4. Face it they are a very good team and playing with great confidence. I really think we miss that 3rd big buy with Rasho.
I dare you to show a more inept team offensively in the playoffs the last five years, maybe you'll see my point then.I dare you to show me how many teams win when they miss 17 consecutive shots???????
Tim has looked like since he came back last week, why is this a surprise? It's even more surprising that our coach, who gets to see him struggle every day in practice, feels he needs to put the whole thing on TIm's shoulders on offense.HOW THE DO YOU MISS 2 straight 3 footers!!!!!!!! .
I just don't get it! Tim had a terrible offensive game today
Pop's postgame: "it's obvious Tim is not on top of his game, and is not completely healthy."
Then quit running everything through him on offense, !
I told you all that Spurs Management was holding out on the public about how ed up this team is.
Duncan should be out for the year. Devin is done for life. Rasho is hurt and just ing sucks anyway.
Why in the do you put hurt guys on the active roster, when clearly, Marks and Wilks were better options than heads like Beno.
The Spurs lost Game 1 to the Nuggets, but this will be motivation for them to take the series and shut their crowd up too. I still believe they can take the series, but if they continue to play like they did at the end, we'll be out of the playoffs early and be the laughingstock of the league.
Go read one of the newspapers in your stacks and stacks of them in your hallway...and don't forget to check the seal on your coffee. You never can be too sure, Sequ.
Solid D.
You are right on. And btw... I haven't wasted a dime on playoff tickets either.
We can not win if Tim is 100% healthy. I don't think Manu and Parker carry us without Tim 100%. Still series is open only time will tell.
Slight change of topic: What happened to Tim's chin? I didn't see anything on Fox. Errant elbow, I presume?
Smart man. It will be a quick elimination.![]()
I hope it isn't though.
I don't know. It looked like he was fouled on his last shot. The locker room shot of him in the interview didn't look like he was injured too much.
Check out the shot chart from tonight's game. Notice how many shots the Spurs missed in the paint.

Its only one game, and they think they got this series in the bag, damn there is still a long way to go, the spurs will bounce back and take this series
What a day...first Spurs lose, then three people in this forum on the SAME day spell "asinine" wrong, then some smart aleck writes "should of" instead of "should have"...
Haha you guys are pathetic.
As for the most pathetic of you all: sequ you are talking about duncan, who put your team in second place and would put it in first if it wasnt for his injury and pops bad coaching, you are talking about devin who showed he can play very good if it wasnt for same things as in duncans case, you are talking about rasho, who is way more important for your team than 90% spurs fans will admit (which is pathetic also) and finally beno, who plays 5 mins a game lately or nothing at all and you people are blaiming him for loosing. Imo the best thing for him and the spurs is a trade like aka brezec, both team and player wins.
You guys are pathetic
At lot of us said we'd drop a game in this series.
Hopefully this was it.
Good times...........
