We need a poster here every hour until game time counting down the hours and putting out a spin.

    T minus 10:

    1) I believe a probable Spurs blowout ala Sixers vs. Pistons yesterday. Early on Denver may show some heart and skill but slowly and surely Spurs will turn it on and roll em with similar defensive intensity shown by the Pistons yesterday. High scorer today Parker, with solid to great games by Barry, Nazr, Duncan and Manu as well

    2) 8 Eastern: Appropriate drinks and reverence that the playoffs have truly begun. How appropriate starts about time of a Super Bowl.

    3) Believe.

The first game of the series will tell me how it will turn out.....

    1) If the Spurs come out an lay an egg...get blown out...I will be concerned about them losing the series.

    2) If they come out and do the opposite of #1...then this could possibly be a sweep or a short series.

    3) If they come out and it is a close game either team winning....it will a long drawn out series with both teams having a chance to advance.

It all depends on the mindset from the get-go.

I don't see the Spurs losing Game 1.

The Spurs are so tough at home, even without Duncan and Ginobili, and with a playoff atmoshpere, Denver won't hang around for long.

I'm washing mine!! I coulden't find mine either, and I was PISSED!! Alas I found it , so life is good except I have to go over to inlaws to watch game...Not so much fun. Interesting sidenote.. I was watching TNT NBA preview this morning and something interesting was said.... Spurs will not have as hard series with Denver, as poor Phoenix will. Good point Spurs are much calmer and know how to win playoff games... Yes Nash has playoff experience, but has choked in previous years...

    BELIEVE

    GO SPURS GO
p.s. approx 7 hours to go and counting..

Maybe so......but one could argue otherwise regarding first blow-outs and such....if we get blown out...one could argue we can still win the series.

Or we blown them out...get overconfident and lose 4 straight....like last year.

Amoungst other this.....I just feel that is the way it would play out.

Personally I think the Spurs will win in 6 games......lose one at home...but get it back in Denver....I think people are not giving Denver enough credit in the forum.

"lose one at home...but get it back in Denver"

An opening split @SBC would be very dangerous for the Spurs. The Karl Nuggets are essentially as tough at @DEN (18-1) as the Spurs are @SBC. If the Spurs can't take the first 2 @SBC (thereby handing HCA to Nuggets), they will put the entire series at risk. The Spurs' road mediocrity plus Nuggets home toughness would put too much pressure on the ailing Spurs in the first series. Don't want to see that.

    T-Minus Six Hours.

Spurs fans are getting antsy. They aren't sure whether to keep posting random thoughts, leave their homes to keep themselves busy, get something to eat and settle in to watch the afternoon games, or just take a nap.

I would be very nervous if we lost game 1 or 2, but I would have faith that the Spurs would find a way to win. Afterall, the playoffs is full of tests. Our road woes may be tested.

I am basically a wreck. First time I ever wished to be at work on a Sunday, but maybe that would occupy my mind. I've already cleaned my freaking oven, for God's sake. Now I guess I'll go mop the floor or something. I can't settle down to read a book, and reading the posts here from all the other edgy fans isn't helping me at all.

Most of you say the Spurs will win the Championship, so what's a measly little game 1 of the playoffs to anybody?

Spurs have it in the bag...

    Right?

For those who spend any time worrying about officials, things could be worse for Game 1.

We know that we won't see Jack Nies, Steve Javie, and some other guys who've been pretty bad to the Spurs at times (Ron Garretson, Luis Grillo, Bernie Fryer, Jess "I want the wolf out of here" Kersey). We'll see who is on the Chicago/Washington game, but it seems to me that Ed Rush, Bavetta, Bob Delaney and Bennett Salvatore are still unaccounted for at this point, which means we'll likely see at least one of those guys tonight. (I'd guess the other officials will be some combination of guys like Greg Willard, Bill Spooner, Derrick Stafford, Tom Washington, and Joe Forte and then some combination of "other guys" like Scott Foster, Monty McCutchen, Ron Olesiak, Mark Wunderlich, David Jones, Blaine Reichelt, and Tony Brothers). Just a guess, though.

Man, you b-ball nuts not only know all the 30 teams players' names and positions by heart, and proly also know many retired player's names, and who they played for, but you also know the names of the fuking refs.

    Unreal
