sarcasm doesn't work on the internet, you're a trying to now raise the card that you're for same sex marriage when in reality you'll use any retort you can come up with even if it goes against your ideals. similar to preaching your religious/spiritual stance and yet posting half naked photos and dissing people on the net.

believe it or not, i wasn't trying to attack you with the nerd comment. sometimes i just call people names without thinking they'd take it heart. after seeing the way the term "nerd" hurt your feelings and you tried throwing mud in my face, i thought, "wow! this dude is sensitive for all the wrong reasons", and then decided to throw some mud back at you.
