Anyone that thinks Kawhi, while collecting almost $20 million this season, is faking his injury might want to consider the ramifications of ripping off a team for that kind of money. As discussed in another thread, Although his absence has been tough, I’m more concerned about the future. He should come back this season, but nobody knows for sure. It’s cost the Spurs a lot more than his salary him being out. The revenue lost will be especially bad if we don't have a good run in the playoffs.

In this Lost Season, two things (at least) are certain. One is that the Spurs had no plans in the off-season, pre-season or early season to tank; and they are not tanking now. The second certainty is that Kawhi has a real, serious (albeit mysterious) injury.
