That stat doesn't really mean much. I'd rather be 4-2 than 4-0 since he brought the team to the finals 2 more times, thus more opportunities for a ring.
Now in the case of Jordan vs Kobe, it is valid since they had the same amount of opportunities and Jordan came out with more.
