Good game ... I do not regret getting up early for that one. If Kawhi injured his hand badly, this would suck as it was in the last minute of the game.

Props to Kyle Andersen ... hopefully Pop has seen enough to never play Daye over him again.

They're gonna be far more motivated to win it than the Spurs.
Splitter will play this time. The only unknown is Leonard and his absence will kill us on the perimeter. The Spurs just lost. I don't think they will take losing again so lightly.

Better to happen now than in March, I guess. Still sucks ass though. Parker needs to sack up and Splitter really needs to stay on the floor during this upcoming stretch

If Leonard is healthy we'll see, but unfortunately it really seems like he broke it; the fact he immediately went to the locker room rather than wait til the end is discouraging.
I just hope it's cautionary... I'm sure they'll run xrays again... hopefully it's just another bruise

The original report on Leonard was that it was a matter of how much pain he could play with until it healed. Last night he said he was trying to play through it.

it's not inconceivable that Pop decides to shut Kawhi down for a while... even if there's nothing broken... we'll see

well. the game was over anyways ... what else was he going to do? playing with a bruised hand or a sprained thumb its just the way it is ... something like this goes on for months if you play regularly, you just have to live with it. Lets be optimistic that he did not broke it ...

As it was last year and the season before. The Spurs can never get fully healthy in the regular season. Just have to hope we can have all guys for the postseason like how it played out the last two years.

then we can shut it down overall i.e. just play the rest of the group enough to be the 7th seed because right now without a fully healthy team more is not possible ...

Nah... with TD/Manu/Tiago/Boris/Danny/TP we can beat most teams... I mean, I value what Kawhi brings every night, but we still have a pretty solid team if those guys can play...

The Spurs will be fine tbh. Pop & Co. have won games starting Keith Bogans, Roger Mason, and Richard F'n Jefferson.

problem is right now the other WC teams can beat most other teams too ... I just think without Kawhi for a few weeks and the Big Three sitting out more games it will be tough to get into the upper half of the playoff ranks ...

Still hoping for everybody getting healthy and the typical 18 game winning streak at one time or another!

I don't think so. There's 5 teams with a 70+% winning percentage right now (if the Clips win their current game, which looks like they will), including the Warriors at 91%, which is ridiculous. Teams will go through up and downs, injuries, tough schedules, their own back to backs, getting tired, etc... they'll drop games. Maybe a team or two will keep the pace, but other than that, there will be chances to be a top 3-5 seed...

The thing is, the Spurs are facing their own tough schedule right now, and they need to get healthy. Hopefully by the time Patty comes back mid-January, we can have the whole team available and we can start trying to build on that.

FWIW, talking about injuries, Robin Lopez broke his hand. He'll be out for a while for Portland...

All those people that said OKC probably won't make the playoffs, where are they now? Right now the Spurs are closer to the 8th seed than the 1st or 2nd seed. They way they have thrown away winnable games, coupled now with these injuries, if they don't get their together OKC could conceivably have home court in a series against us.

Wow. When did this happen? I don't recall seeing him injure it, but then again I wasn't watching the game very closely tonight.

To be fair, I didn't think they'd rush Westchimp and Durant back so quick. I still expect them to be gassed come April.
