Could somebody please give me a detailed description of what happened? I was following on play by play

    Thanks in advance!

    Go Spurs!
Manu from the arc in the corner- shot really short off the side of the rim. Tony with the offensive rebound near the baseline, and the high, turn around fade away that went through the net at exactly 0.0.

i can't see what could be a worse shot than a 3 at the end of the game when you're tied. all you need is ONE point to win.
an open 3 is still better than a hard 2. the 3 from manu was a good play from both tony and manu. and it ended well. enjoy.

he couldn't drive in and maybe draw a foul? that's usually what you want to do in that situation, not jack up a three.
I dont think the refs will call a foul at the end of the game unless it really obvious. Plus there were 4 guys in the paint and there wasnt much time on the clock.

The ball was in Tony's hands and he made the play to give it to Manu. I would rather him take an open 3 than dribble into 4 guys and put up a tough shot and hope for a foul. Plus i assume the last time Manu would have looked at the clock would have been with about 10 seconds left before Tony began to wind it down and begin his drive, so he probly didnt know the exact amount of time on the clock.

And that is why analysts like Hollinger don't respect us. We play like crap against the quality opponents and need buzzer beaters and OT wins to beat the lottery teams.
Why should anyone give a what Hollinger thinks or who he respects? Please tell me. How many rings does he have?

hmm...well if that's the case, we should just jack up 3's all game long cause it might be hard to make 2 in the paint.

i'm glad the spurs won....but it was ugly and only a luck shot at the end gave us the victory. but hey, we won in a B2B, so I guess we have to be happy.

The ball was kicked out to manu and he was waiting on the corner. you have to take that shot regardless what the score is.

I'll agree with you about Hollinger being full of . Doesn't change the fact that the Spurs are NOT an elite team right now.

exactly. if we'd pass on open 3, it would be easy to defend against us. Most of the 3 we take are open shots, like the last from manu. If you can't make them, you deserve to lose.

as long as we don't take 3 with a defensor right in the face, i don't see any problem. Opponents pack the lane to prevent penetrations, especially from tony : you punish them by taking open 3, it's how it goes.

Manu was 2-4 from the three at that time. It was an open shot. Time was winding down. It was a good attempt. If Manu had made it, you won't be ing right now. Or maybe you still will.

    We won. So who cares?

no way in refs would call a foul in the last seconds to give a team a win on a FT

That was some horrible defense in the second half. The pick and roll defense and the interior defense was non-existent.

I'll take the win but hopefully Pop can rip into them and get a better defensive performance. The Spurs play like this in Miami and Wade goes for 50.

Nice shot by TP, but as in the Phoenix game or any other games this year with buzzer beaters, the actual win itself is nothing to get excited about.... Philadelphia is a team that we should have put away by the end of the 1st quarter. I'm actually disappointed in our performance tonight. Fun game though...15 3-pointers, we should have had 17 to set a new record. Again, nothing to get excited about, nothing shocking about the win itself, but great buzzer-beater and fun game with 15 3-pointers. We'll take a 22-11 record now although we should be 33-0 right now based on the teams we've played.

Saying this was a piss poor defensive effort is far from strong enough words. Like the OT game vs. the Grizz, this is yet another game that feels more like a loss than a win. I'll take it, but playing like this is unacceptable.
