Spurs lost against the sixers without Brand LOL pathetic
Sixers are a better team without Brand. You obviously don't follow the NBA too closely.

I watched the Spurs and I'm missing defence, a center who dominates, takes rebounds, blocks shots, the only man that can do this is Tim but that's not enough.

the Spurs perimeter - scratch that, their defense is god awful, everyone seems to be getting to the rim at will now.

Teams used to respect Timmy's defense in the middle - now it's a joke really.
Simplistic take. Maybe it's not Tim but the fact that most nights he's playing 1-on-2 around the rim against the other team's bigs. He's not getting much help on D from the other big on the floor (except forthe occasional good spurt by Thomas) and that makes his job almost impossible.

Yeah, they've been winning so many games without Brand. I guess this is their 6th consecutive win and if I'm not mistaken, it's the longest streak in the NBA today

I'm not blaming Timmy at all, the front office takes the complete blame for not providing another defensive presence next to Tim.

What I'm saying is that Timmy just by being in the middle used to make opponents think twice about driving to the lane. Now days everyone is attacking him like it's a practice session. "I get no respect." - Rodney Dangerfield

If Tim cant take 1 on 2 then its time to call it a career.

What a lame excuse. Tim is that good. He's gonna get double teamed most of the time. Just deal with it and play your best.

Why tune in then, if losses (and therefore wins) don't matter?

    you're kidding me again...

8-14 from beyond the arc. Surely he's not responsible for the pathetic defense on the perimeter and on low post at the same time, right?

    he needs HELP!

I think his current contract is lesser than $1M for that.

Played every game 20/10/3/2 consistently for the team and all he got is you complaining.

    Pathetic Spurs fan.

Tim survived w/o Manu & Tony. Let's see if the Spurs can survive if he'd sit as you're suggesting.

Not much to say about this one. We were obviously still celebrating our win over LA.

Embarrassing loss....hopefully is pisses us off and we take it out on Chi-town tomorrow.

Fans focusing on Tim's D are way off base. Timvp alluded to this in his game thoughts for the lakers. The cohesion between him and Bonner is hardly there. Tim is not the weak link.

Couple that with the lackluster effort on team defense - slow rotations and mental lapses. You get exposed as a team.

Bagging Tim Duncan like that is a not something any Spurs fan should be doing. Sure you can say he had a bad game or didn't play up to his MVP level, but saying the stuff you said it just not on. If you've cooled off and still have the same opinion I don't know what to say.

Tim is the Spurs. Tim just needs some help down low.

Iguodala hit a 28-footer to end the first quarter, a 44-footer to end the first half and Lou Williams buried a 28-footer to end the third.

They go down on the stat sheet as 3s. The desperate heaves meant so much more in momentum swings to each team.

"It kills you," said San Antonio's Tim Duncan.
"I think they just overall outplayed us," Duncan said.
"We're supposed to be a pretty good defensive team and it hasn't looked like it for a while," said Spurs coach Gregg Popovich. "We're not the team we've been in the past couple years on the defensive end. It's really troubling."

Spurs got raped tonight. Damn.......What had happened was that the lakes rubbed some rox sweat on the spurs and gave the spurs some Roxitis and so the spurs ed up like a mother er.
