Game Preview: SpursTalk Previews Thread
After an exciting game against the Lakers on Wednesday night, where our Off Season Savior hit another heroic basket, the Spurs begin a 3 game roadtrip through the Eastern Conference in Philadelphia.
Team is everything, believe.
Spurs will steamroll these pretenders.
Any chance the Knicks will loan us Malik Rose for the night? He was always good for a 20/12 performance in Philly.
Spurs should be able to dominate, but my gut is saying this is one of those games that will end up a lot closer than it should have been, whether due to a slow start or taking their foot off the gas in the second or third quarter.
Prove me wrong Spurs!
well its 12:46am here and im wide awake, so i guess ill be following this game
Just had to drive as quick, and as careful, as possible through a rugged African village to get a woman in labour to the local hospital. Ah the joys of being married to a midwife![]()
Game chat: Spurs vs. Sixers
By Joe Alexander
The Spurs take on the Philadelphia 76ers today at 6 p.m. (San Antonio time) in Philadelphia.
Earlier Friday, The Spurs signed veteran free-agent forward Austin Croshere to a 10-day contract. He has played in 656 NBA games going back to the 1997-98 season. He was waived earlier this season by the Milwaukee Bucks.
The Sixers are hoping to get Elton Brand back tonight. The 6-foot-9 forward has missed 15 games due to injury. He is averaging 15.9 points and 9.8 rebounds in his first season with the Sixers.
Tonight's outing is the first of a three-game road trip for the Spurs, who play at Chicago on Saturday and at Charlotte on Monday afternoon. The Spurs have won 10 of their last 12 games, including Wednesday's 112-111 victory over the Los Angeles Lakers.

So how does Andre Miller view Donovan McNabb, one quarterback to another? That's right, Miller, the 76ers' point guard, spent part of his senior year at Verbum Dei High in South Central Los Angeles playing quarterback.

The Elton Brand Watch continued yesterday, and Sixers coach Tony DiLeo said the power forward has an outside chance of playing tonight when the San Antonio Spurs invade the Wachovia Center.

Just like the way they did last time?![]()
Mason !!!!
OMG !!!!!!
Spurs should get plenty of open shots, they just need to hit them. Their transition defense needs to be good tonight since the 76ers are young, fast, and athletic.
Sixers call on LP.
Croshere wont be playing tonight right?
Someone go to the freakin RACK!!!
Nice move by TP, too bad he missed
Spurs doing a good job to get back to D
Uh-oh. Tp's head isn't in the game. He hasn't penetrated once. And he just tried to post Miller, who is MUCH BIGGER than he is.![]()
Parker needs to work on making those layups. These gimmes misses are becoming much too frequent.

Spurs up 9-8 not good ofense but the D look very good so far
I laugh every time TP tries to post someone up. I can't believe it actually almost worked.
Why is there no one at the game? The philly/cards game is tomorrow, I thought.
Sure, he got past him, but 9 times out of 10 you shouldn't post a bigger, stronger player because they will own your arse. You take a bigger guy outside and drive on him.
