Don't regret it, Brazil is a much better destination than South Africa anyway.
Yeah for sure, but still the crime rate sucks ass there. Nothing will beat the party of 2006 in germany, that was the most awesome cup ever.

(i live partly in germany and brazil).

That 's gonna bomb. Nobody is gonna give two s about chest traps or throw in stats. Interrupting the game when there's a great chance for a goal was hilarious though.

I know this is not what you're talking about but the bar I watched the game at had an amazing crowd. The entire bar was into it and I feel sorry for the 4 or 6 Englishmen there because they got everything they said thrown right back at them (some by me lol lol).

But what was cool was how into it the crowd was even though they didn't know about the game. There were some people that knew the game, but others who leaned over and asked me why they stopped while tied. I'm tired of repeating about how its growing over here, but today was the first time I've ever seen a crowd like that for a soccer game in this country.

Also, the first bar we went to was so full they wouldn't let us in so this was actually just a bar we walked into in downtown Denver. There was nothing planned here (as evidenced by the wait staff and bar tenders who had to work their ass off since they were not expecting such a huge crowd) about it and the amount of people who came downtown to watch the games was really really impressive.

I don't think (well and I hope) you don't have to put up with the whole "its boring" schtick very much longer because there was not one person in that bar who felt this game was boring at any point.
I'll post pictures later in a thread led "Americans Don't Care About Soccer" for our friend Sense.

If the crowd at my place is any indication, Soccer is the most popular sport in San Antonio. The crowd at our place made St. Patrick's Day seem like a slow Tuesday afternooon.

    Great result for USA!

What's awesome about soccer is that the game can change some quickly. One team can play better the whole game without scoring and can find itself down 1-0 due to some quick good play by the other team.

Most games mean you are glued to the tv for 90+ minutes

with basketball you can usually turn it off at half time if your team is down 20+

The US is a dark horse. You never know what they will do. If they are clicking they can beat the best in the world like last year but they have a propensity to play well under that level a lot. They intrigue with flashes of brilliance then falter against weak teams.

Everytime I watch sport news on an american channel their reporters are like USA was very bad one year ago, but after that ty confederations cup, than no one gives a about, they are one of the best teams in the world. LOL... USA soccer always sucked ass, and right now it definitely isn't so great. They are 14th on the Fifa rankings list just cause they play 90 % of games against ty teams.
