you pussy fart. Now instead of England beating your country 3-1 they will beat them 3-0
Just complete a decent amount of passes to Robert Green and you should be good
BTW, reading up on Fulham, seems like a really cool team to follow. Been playing on the same field in the cottages since 1896! Thats CRAZY!!! Awesome stuff!!
Never have I seen a team fold after going 1-0 up.
I love how England have the best Goalkeeper in the premiership rotting on the bench whilst we have this turd who can't even catch a ing ball.
Congrats USA, you deserved a win tonight.
Interesting decisions by Fabio in the game. How does he not know King and Milner can't go 90 minutes. Fabio likes Crouch/Heskey with Rooney but I like Defoe. You have Hart starting the next game?
King shouldn't be in the squad, he's the Greg Oden of English Football. Milner was way too aggresive and picked up stupid fouls, IMO he should come of the bench.
Defoe would be a good choice as long as Heskey doesn't see the pitch at all and bring Crouch off the bench for the last 20 mins.
Fabio is great, but god damn he's treating Hart like he sucks.
British goalkeepers, its so funny.
I just dont get it, why the are they unable to produce good talents?
Every cup there are probably at least 6-7 german goalkeepers better than the one playing for England.
Its sad and funny.
England will never win a worldcup if they dont fix this problem (and the mental problem they have allready with penalties)...
No assumption, just the truth.
As a father, who has two boys, that is true, but they as they get older they want to play what they see on TV.
And that is baseball, basketball and american football.
Soccer is a fantastic sport, and as it gains in popularity here in the states the national team will get better.
Now cricket and rugby are not all that popular...
DD
I don't know what is worse, the fact this draw has attracted all the "soccer is so boring, that's why us Americans don't watch it" idiot crowd or having to read lefty posts pretending he knows simply because he posted "English keepers suck" right before the goal...
+ a few
americans dont watch it cause were not good at it.
Period.
Once that changes, it will change. That and a more successfull american soccer league.
Insightful as always![]()
Exactly. When it comes to international sport, alot people are not suprisingly bandwagoners. If your country sucks at a sport, there is much less chance you will watch them and less chance they will be televised nationally, thus less chance the game grows.
It is a cycle. The teams gets better, more people watch, they get more coverage, the sport grows, more talent comes through, the team gets better, more people watch etc etc etc. Not sure which step is the starting point but you get my picture
Heck you can give Rugby some time and i bet the USA will be representing well at the World Cup. They are even holding part of the Rugby Sevens tournament in Las Vegas
http://www.usasevens.com/event.aspx
To me you have 2 main groups of fans -
1.) Those who actually love the sport, follow it at various levels and of course barrack for their country at the international compe ions
2.) Those (like me) who don't really follow the sport but love it at an international level and support their country.
The MLS has grown, and so has US Soccer. They're still not a top squad in the world, but they're making progress slowly but surely. And the coverage of the World Cup has changed dramatically in the country. This tournament's coverage has been top notch, with all games being played live and in HD, alongside 3D and mobile broadcasting, and simulcast in Univision HD in spanish. ESPN has also invested in 'Match Trucks' in big markets like New York and Los Angeles, serving international food and showing the matches on the street.
Let's hope they keep it up...![]()
I know this is not what you're talking about but the bar I watched the game at had an amazing crowd. The entire bar was into it and I feel sorry for the 4 or 6 Englishmen there because they got everything they said thrown right back at them (some by me lol lol).
But what was cool was how into it the crowd was even though they didn't know about the game. There were some people that knew the game, but others who leaned over and asked me why they stopped while tied. I'm tired of repeating about how its growing over here, but today was the first time I've ever seen a crowd like that for a soccer game in this country.
Also, the first bar we went to was so full they wouldn't let us in so this was actually just a bar we walked into in downtown Denver. There was nothing planned here (as evidenced by the wait staff and bar tenders who had to work their ass off since they were not expecting such a huge crowd) about it and the amount of people who came downtown to watch the games was really really impressive.
I don't think (well and I hope) you don't have to put up with the whole "its boring" schtick very much longer because there was not one person in that bar who felt this game was boring at any point.
I have followed Fulham because they've had US players on the team. They even had the nickname of Fulhamerica back in 2008 because they had five American players, Clint Dempsey, Carlos Bocanegra, Brian McBride, Casey Keller, and Eddie Johnson.
That McBride was a quality player for Fulham. He returned to the MLS (Chicago Fire) to finish up his career.
I actually know a ton of American's that love football, so I can see what you're saying being true. Also, the whole "we don't watch it 'cause its boring" schtick is 10 times more annoying to American fans of the sport that get lumped with that crowd simply for being American. I've got friends that absolutely hate it
Either way, its good to see the US is finally getting into football![]()
that was a nice performance by team usa, kept on attacking to see an openning or a lapse in teh defense, didnt get many opportunities but when they did, they were a threat...
england lol continues to suck if lampard gets alot of touches but does jack ...so much for hyping up rooney for this wc when he barely touch the ball
wc is lame when some of the players are on a contract year, ball hogging wankers
Don't regret it, Brazil is a much better destination than South Africa anyway.
dont both have high crime rates?![]()
