Zero chance Portland would offer all 3 1st-round picks to us for Aldridge...
I figured that much but the 15 and 20 might work. Leaves them a pick for a salary dump.

Hold onto Aldridge. Let him up his trade value before the deadline since he is going to opt out most likely, he may be under a contract year and it might light a fire under his ass. Then we might get something in return that has more value. This still is a team that made it to the WCF.
This doesn't make sense though. In my mind, a mid-season trade is punting away a season of Kawhi's prime. Too much shakeup to recover from. They need to either deal him now or wait out his contract.

Aside from KL and maybe Murray, the spurs have nothing to offer.

I am just trying to think within the realm of possibility. I could also see a trade with Orland: Jeff Green, Jodie Meeks #6 and #33 for LMA and #29.
I bet it's something more like #10 and a trade exception to Sacramento. Or maybe Cuban would throw the #9 pick and a trade exception. Or Denver #13 and a trade exception.

I'm looking hard at Denver. They love draft night trades.

I doubt a trade gets done for Aldridge today. The Spurs never make a trade based on a player requesting to be traded without equal value.

I don't know exactly what was discussed prior. However SAS spoke with a number of sources last night. He said that LMA wants off the Spurs team "bad". He felt his productivity was compromised joining the Spurs and his perception of a player around the league has been damaged. It sounds like he will not be on the team for this upcoming season, I guess the spurs are aggressively trying to get something done. He mentioned that Melo/PG13 trade could happen since they are considered "distressed" assets.
    What a cancer TBH.
I am sure Danny Green could say playing with him affected his own efficiency and productivity, but Danny wouldn't say something like that. He couldn't explain his shooting slump last season except with a general reference to chemistry and himself...

Guys that blame others... I don't like that for the Spurs. It's not the culture they have built up. Now that Tony is injured and Manu with one foot in his retirement, what are the Spurs young players learning and getting used to? Get him the out.

Kawhi working out with Dijon and Kyle over the summer to try to all come back better, that's what Spurs are about...

His numbers are down and he is up for a new contract before too much longer.

He wasn't a catalytic player. C'est la vie.

Yep. If LMA is still a Spur at the end of the night, I will be sorely disappointed.

Stephen A Smith pretty much said LaMarcus wants "out in the worst way" and that he feels the Spurs "compromised" him. Pretty blaming the Spurs for his shortcomings. SAS pretty much said he "had some nerve."

Hes getting traded,no doubt, if what SAS says is accurate.

I don't see their assets being a good trade/salary match for LMA. They have some guys I wouldn't mind having, but I can't see us getting them for LMA.

I was under the impression they had space. Could be wrong though.

Any lottery pick for LMA would be a MASSIVE GET.

Why were his numbers down? Be specific. Or is this just your vague analysis with little substance that you keep parroting?

as for porzingis, i think NY is just going through the motions at this point. they are asking boston for BOTH picks from the nets, crowder and brown.

So who is involved? LMA for 12, Jackson and Stanley Johnson? I could live with that.

I am now thinking this is damaging for the Spurs trying to attract FA. They have to tread water with Gasol too. His shortcomings were well known and prior to his joining the Spurs he led the bulls to the lottery even with Jimmy Butler in the team in the east conference. Spurs should have never gone for him in restrospect, but Tim's retirement hit POP and RC specially hard and they didn't think want to rebuild after Durant spurned them. Regardless Pau went from starter to bench player in the Spurs and his production declined too. Can't have him adding fuel to the fire.

I d try to keep Lee he was great in the system and genuinely enjoyed playing with others.

The Knicks would turn things around very quickly with that haul! No way!
