This is the ty "purgatory" everyone was afraid of. You barely miss (or barely make) the playoffs, and you get a mediocre draft pick that is unlikely to significantly alter the team success immediately.

If it were anybody else I would agree. But the Spurs have an impeccable track record of turning water into wine. They'll turn that pick into something special, imo. Everybody needs a top 3 pick to become contenders again....except SA.
