The 50 win streak record the Spurs had was more impressive than the playoff streak.

I for one wish we had a better pick oh well there is always next year. People need to understand we need to tank almost every position we have needs a better player so one year drafting at 11 is not going to do it. The weird thing is what happens if College cancels basketball this upcoming season how do you think that will impact the draft?

3 of past 5. Don’t give them TOO much credit. Spurs did the same thing from 2003-2007 (though as of a year ago, it was 3 in 4 for the Warriors)

I considered the string of road .500+ seasons more impressive.

This is the ty "purgatory" everyone was afraid of. You barely miss (or barely make) the playoffs, and you get a mediocre draft pick that is unlikely to significantly alter the team success immediately.

I guess we'll have to disagree. Winning 50 wins is the indicator of having a good team while you can be mediocre and be above .500 by winning 40-45 games per year. The Spurs had a streak of winning 50 are more for 19 years. So for 19 years the spurs were at worst a good team and for most of those 19 years they were an elite team. That is ridiculously hard to do and will never be pulled off again. The last 2 years I felt the Spurs when they were winning 40 plus games they were just an average team at best but not a good team.

They’ll pick who they want, not take the 11th best player available with that pick. Probably take the best euro on the board available and stash him In Austin. Book it.

the T-wolves haven’t really had any success making the playoffs with all of their high lottery picks.

if u have no chances for PO u tank. Spurs did not tank and thats the result. No high pick in a draft and no PO. We could easily have top4 pick.

    Number 11
    2019 Cameron Johnson
    2018 Shai Gilgeous-Alexander
    2017 Malik Monk
    2016 Domantas Sabonis
    2015 Myles Turner, Texas
    2014 Doug McDermott
    2013 Michael Carter-Williams
    2012 Meyers Leonard, Illinois
    2011 Klay Thompson
    2010 Cole Aldrich

Good things can happen, but Spurs will need some luck.
