Ok, I understand OU, A&M, and Tennessee calling us tu, but why USC. We have only played once, and won. I just don't see why a USC fan would call us tu instead of UT....but whatever.....to each their own I guess
thats because logic makes too much sense for JGW.

jgw isn't really an SC fan; he grew up an atm fan then moved to SoCal and jumped on the bandwagon.
    is that true?

    what a got.

Why, they are undefeated. They have one of the best offenses and rushing attacks in the nation. They went on the road and beat #3 in the nation and this year's Mr. Heisman, Chase Daniel.

I just can't wait for the media to stop having such a hard-on for the SEC and recognize that the Big 12 is FAR superior this season.

Could Bama beat the 1942 Army team?

Could Texas beat the 1963 USC team?

If Texas and Bama played in a time warp where they were transported to ancient Greece, who would win?

Seriously, who ing cares at this point? I'd hate to be rated #1 in October and I wish Bama was there.

SC handed t.u. the game with mistake after mistake...but i don't see how that has anything to do with this year.

    we'll see...

you can say that about every single team that has lost every single football game in the history of the sport of football. They all lost because of mistakes. Which means that UT outplayed USC. End of story.

i think so. i believe SC is #4 in the current unofficial BCS standings. plenty of season left to rise...or fall.

i understand florida just ripped lsu apart...but florida had a worse loss than SC. ol' miss at the swamp? at least oregon state is a good team, they had utah beat if not for that horrible pass interference call. did anyone see that game? unreal.

SC's wins have been more impressive than florida's... even Virginia has had some nice wins.

actually, no. furthermore, there are mistakes...and then there are bonehead plays.

mental strength is arguably the most important aspect to winning football games. USC proved they were not mentally strong by making mistakes. its all part of the game. not being mentally strong means you have a weakness, just like lack of running game is considered a weakness, or lack of defense is considered as weakness.

Texas WON the game. USC didn't hand them .

and it has to do with this year because you said predicting SC would win makes you a genius. obviously it didnt work that way a couple years ago.

in a history of over 100 years. no rivalry exists. just bitterness on your part because Texas took the le of "the greatest team ever" and made it their own.

    1. great teams can slip up once, happens all the time

nobody ever said a rivalry exists. i'm correcting an ill-informed t.u. fan...and letting him know SC owns t.u. 4-1.

    1. USC was a great team, no question. Texas was greater.

    2. the only humor was thinking SC would stomp UT. and you thinking you actually have reason to refer to them as "t.u." when no rivalry exists at all. only in the minds of bitter fans like yourself.

    ...fail.

first, the last time before the rose bowl that they played was in 1967.

second, U.T. actually owns SC because the only game that truly mattered, UT won.

its like saying since the suns beat the spurs 3 times in the regular season, that they own the spurs, when the spurs beat them in the playoffs (when it counted). who truly owned who? The Spurs owned the Suns, just like Texas owned SC.

playoffs don't exist in CFB...every game matters.

actually, in 1967 SC beat #5 t.u. in route to a national le...and SC still owns t.u. all time 4-1. get some perspective.
