KG cries... mentions Spurs

I just think it's somewhat curious that until last year, KG's apologists screamed that he needed to have "guys around him" to succeed. Last year, everyone was content that he finally had "guys around him," and the team performed well. Now, when the team struggles again, the same gang is screaming that KG needs "guys around him," even though this is the same crew that was good enough last year. (by some accounts, it should be even better, with the additions of Troy Hudson for an entire season and Eddie Griffin).

The buck has to stop somewhere. KG may want to win badly, but he needs to do more to lead his team in ways that aren't just statistical. Until he does that -- as long as he keeps blaming his supporting cast -- he's just guy with good numbers and phenomenal talent.
