During his interview with John Thompson, KG started crying when he was asked if he places the burden of losing on himself.

His response was like "I got to. I mean look at the Spurs (long pause) and Shaq with his new team..."

I watched this interview, it was interesting. KG was showing his emotions terribly.

Looks like he really hates loosing and I wouldn't be surprised if he is traded over the summer.

Get rid of Spree. Get rid of Cassell. Start offloading other old players. Start developing young players. No first round picks is not an excuse. Since that time, the Spurs have managed to stockpile quite a bit of second round talent in Europe.

Why would they trade Garnett = other than Duncan and Shaq who else to build team around?

Because KG has shown that if he is unhappy, the team won't even make the playoffs. At that point, it is probably time to blow up your team.

At this point, Shaq isn't even worthwhile as a trade option. If they are smart, they will attempt to pluck one of the young studs like Emeka, Josh Smith, or Dwight Howard.

They should get rid of McHale, too, and bring in fresh front office blood. The stink of Joe Smith still lingers.

As much as I hate KG, that comment is very untrue. He is the lone reason they even have a chance to still make the playoffs despite a horrible record. He is still putting up MVP numbers, night in and out and putting up a losing fight.
I think the correct way to put it would be, Because Spree and Cassell are unhappy, the team won't make the playoffs.

I don't hate KG, but I recognize that two years ago, they didn't have Spree or Cassell, and had no troubles making the playoffs. What's different? KG. He sounds defeated.

I wasn't saying you hate KG. I was simply pointing out that even though I hate the guy, I can see where he is comming from. I just don't see how you can say he is the reason that they won't make the playoff's because he is unhappy. It's true that he must be unhappy with the team's perfomance and record--who wouldn't be, especially after they had such an awesome season last year and made no changes to their rosters this year.

I'm just saying that even though he may be unhappy and feel defeated with his team, he is still putting up the numbers every night. He clearly can't do it alone.

There are turning points in games where you have to nut it up and go balls to the wall to get the win. You can put up good numbers otherwise throughout the game without doing that. That seems to be what KG is doing this year. He's had to do it with only Wally before, and no Spree or Cassell, and won 50 games. What's different? KG seems to be, with this defeatist at ude.

Trading one of the few players in this leauge you can actually build a team around is stupid.

Not if he's so demoralized that you miss the playoffs, and not if you get a new young stud to build around. I agree that you don't trade him for crap, but Josh Smith, Dwight Howard, or Emeka are possibilites as the cornerstone of a prospective deal.

I'm hardly a KG lover, especially in the comparison to Tim. But it's also clear that what's happened this year isn't because KG is doing things any differently.

KG's defense this year, for whatever reason, has fallen off considerably.

That would make a difference, a big difference, and not show up in your standard numbers.

They wouldn't , what I'm saying is that it wouldn't surprise me if KG wants to be traded.

If a player wants to be traded, he will be. They can't do anything about it.

Being a KG hata' I guess I just took some petty satisfaction that he mentioned the Spurs through his tears.

I'll never forget him slapping the back of Tim's head when he wasn't looking.

KG is the ONLY reason the Wolves have been in the playoffs the last how many years. And just because he cried and showed emotion does not mean he is a "puss" or somehow less capable of playing hard and winning.

The Wolves will not trade KG. That would be like the Spurs trading Duncan.
The Wolves need to dump Kandi, Cassell and Spree, and focus on Wally, Trenton, Troy Hudson, and Fred Hoiberg. then they need to try and pick up a couple young, athletic forwards/centers to help fit into the system they've been trying to build. Clearly the 3-headed monster doesn't work - Spree and Cassell's egos are too big and they're too old and tired. And Kandi is just useless.

    WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That was the dumbest thing i have ever read!!!

You try going through more than half of an 82 game season playing your heart out and then watch your team lose and lose and lose.

    It gets to you eventually.

I'm no KG fan, but im also not a KG hater, how can u hate a guy that has such a passion for the game?

The guy just broke down, and sadly it had to be on national tv.

if KG was a real man he would have called out Spree as the punk that he has been this year. If you want to win, be a ing leader and stand up for winning, Spree is all about himself not winning. KG you want to win either be a real leader or get someone on the team not worried about hurting feelings.

If Flip "lost" the team, Mr Franchise KG must have had some role, if only in not preventing it.

I don't commiserate with any whiny, snivelling pro sports athlete making $1M+/month. No matter what bad stuff happens in the game, that's sufficient comfort for anyone.

I don't doubt that KG is a big time compe or, and I can respect that in a player. He's a little too much of a 'me' type of player, into that whole chest thumping, yelling bull , but that's just a personal preference on my part-I like players who keep thier emotions under control and just play the game in the most professional manner possible. KG likes to bring attention to himself, he's loud, but he also backs up his talk with a pretty consistent/high level of play year in and out. The problem he's got at this point is he surrounded by two guys like Cassell and Spree who were somehow able to keep thier egos in check last season, but have become complete distractions this year. Chuck both of them ASAP and start putting some younger pieces in place with an eye towards making a run next season, too late for this year.

    respect the 'fro
