Yes, they got a pretty good record still, but getting blown by the grizz?
c'mon....
Guys I hate to sound like a knee jerker but this loss pisses me off.

True but the mavs have had about the 5th easiest schedule in the league so far and have cupcakes like the clips and knicks at home for their next 2 games. I just fear that cubes and nellie think this team is condenters as currently constructed
They shot poorly and got out-rebounded. Dirk said the other night after the T-Pups comeback that this team is good, but not so good that they can take a night off like in years past and still expect to win. Any team in the league can beat them when they don't execute and play with the requisite intensity.
and L is an L...Lakers lost to the queens, rockets lost to the Wiz at home, C's lost the Warriors, games like this happen all the time in the NBA
We're 18-6 but this has been a cushy stretch. I believe we're "only" 4-4 against teams with a record better than .500.
And we've had a lot of wins where the quality of our basketball was piss poor. The Knicks win (which kicked off this nice stretch), the comebacks needed against the pacers, clippers, thunder, sixers, and Twolves. Even when the Mavs win, their basketball looks mediocre. And it irritates me.
But what can you do? It's not like we're underachieving. Our roster is just not that good and that's why we're 20-13.
They're pretenders...having said that, they're also playing better generally than at the start of the year. I would like to see them turn Stack's contract into something before the trading deadline. After the Lakers, can you really say any team in the West is head and shoulders ahead of us? Denver and New Orleans overall look a little better than us, but not like the Lakers.
Good win for Memphis today. Dallas should have been losing at this rate in the 2006-2007 season.
The team is still a joke. This should be a wakeup call to stop falling behind to scrub teams and thinking they can come back.
^ shut the up.
Dallas has to go 47-2 to match their regular season record of two seasons ago.
Mavs schedule has been easy as too.
Brickhouse the Mavs didn't reveal anything new today. We've been mediocre all year an games like this occur to mediocre teams. Even the Lakers/Celtics/Cavs can lose to a team like the Grizzlies on a given night but never by 20. That we lost by 20 is just more evidence of our mediocrity, just like falling behind by 29 to the Twolves is, just like needing comebacks v the Clippers/Thunder/Bobcats is, just like our 5-9 record v +.500 teams is.
Our roster is mediocre and needs a trade. Even then, that wouldn't guarantee we would enter the class of elite teams which right now is the Cavs, Celtics, and Lakers.
... or from another view... just 1.5 from out of the playoffs.![]()

The Jazz are 1.5 games back, not 0.5, so how do you figure?
Dirk for Udoka JVG Tolliver KT deal ?![]()
My bad... missread.
Fixed!
Memphis looked totally stupid for that trade with the Lakers last season....but they got Mark Gasol. They are building a nice team.
Gay, Mayo, Gasol, Warrick, Lowry, Conley, and Arthur are a nice core of players. They are still a couple of players shy...but things aren't looking as bleak for them, as they were last year.
Believe me, I am glad we are done with them this year. Mayo has gotten on my last nerve.
I have to agree with that!
They have played good basketball since that bad start!!! However, a tough loss tonight!

+1
OJ Mayo is the real deal. And they do have some nice young players. They need a consistent low post threat. Al Jefferson from the Timberwolves would be a great fit for them.
Hopefully, Ivaroni will get a chance to grow as a coach with this team. However, they are in the toughest division in basketball..though!
