Goratat is just what we need: a young bigman that can block and rebound, and plays with a lot of energy. Manu and/or Mason can play Tony's backup. I think that for us, this season, Gortat would be a lot more useful than Hill. With that said I love George's game and I agree that is a great pick up by this team.
I'm sorry to say this but when Mason is playing PG I absolutely hate it. He's a good player, but he should not be playing PG. Gortat is a good player, but there's no way that anyone outside of you would even slightly consider trading Hill for Gortat.

Do we expect anything different from Ray Allen? For all his shooting prowess, he will always be immortalized for being a whiny .

It sounds to me that you saw ONE game from Gortat and fell in love with him or something... I think watching him play 10 games or so would give you a better impression of what he is all about... DEFINITIVELY would be a nice addition but not at the cost of losing Hill...

George Hill is a future star in this league and could easily become the 2,1 future of our franchise... Manu will keep coming from the bench forever and Finley is about to retire... also Mason is not very young you could tell... so that makes any sense now?
I watched like 4 or 5 games of him and 'cause I liked what I saw I went to check his numbers and see what BB specialist and Magic fans had to say of him. And they're all very happy with him.

Actually there are a few more here:

My sin could be thinking too much about the present instead of the future, but think about it: if we are planing to win it all this year Hill shouldn't have a meaningful role in the playoffs. For the Spurs to win the 5th, all the members of the big three need to play well, which means Parker is one of the guys that needs to play well, and if this happens he will average about 35/40 minutes in the PO, which leads to Hill not playing more than 8/13 minutes a night and no matter how good you are you can't be a difference maker in so few minutes. And IMO Gortat can be a starter for this team or at least a backup guy that can get a lot of playing time depending on matchups.

Well this is (may be) the last time I talk about this, I promise.

4,5 watched games and an endorsing self coaching staff doesn't say a whole lot to me... Hill>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Gortat on the Spurs right now...

Wheres Mr Body to have a witty comeback and say this is BS too?
Mario Chalmers was still on the board. We'd be fine. Rivers is saying this in retrospect, etc. This isn't too hard.
