But when he STARTS and when there are certain people on the floor, he plays like the BB we all expected.
    1) That's not how the Spurs operate. You don't get to pick who you play with, so that's just a weak excuse.

    2) Tony Parker will be the starting PG on this team for the next 6 years after this one. Barry had better learn how to deal with it, and him.

    3) I don't live and die by game to game stats, but stats for a season can be useful. They show that he is shooting for , not just from 3, but overall, too.

    That is all.

American Grace, awsome take! I could not have said it better myself. I agree 100%. Don't waste your time arguing with Chump though...he/she/it has a ed up view on things...Chump is like...well you know how small children make a mental leap when they start to realize that an object exists even after they can no longer see it?

Chump is a child that never made that mental leap. If the game happened yesterday it never happened in Chump's world. If a player has a bad game, in Chumpworld that player has sucked his entire career...if a player has a good game, he's been a HOF'er his entire career. Chump's skull is so ing thick the US government is trying to reproduce it as a way of containing nuclear fallout.

But anyway, good take, anytime Chump gets uppity just poine out to him/her/it that he prefered Hedo over Manu, just because Hedo had a good month.

He/she/it's a stat frontrunner. I think thats the best description. It's also why Chump gets his ass kicked in 90% of the arguments he involves himself with and is in a perpetual state of backtrack.

Your right you don't get to pick who you play with. I don't think anyone expects the Spurs to chagne the entire offense for him. But , if your going to play with Brown, Horry, Massenberg, Beno et al, why the WOULDN"T you change he offense when he is in the game. I don't see a better alternative. If the Spurs really wanted a guy to stand around the 3pt line and wait for the ball all night. They should have signed Tim Legler out of retirement. We can argue about this till the sun comes up, but you can't tell me you don't see how different he plays without Tpark etc in the line up. 3pt ing percentage or not.

I don't know if a guy who thinks Parker sucks should be allowed to judge harshness though

Barry had a good game. Really didn't matter who else was out there. Really didn't matter where he was taking his threes. I can't believe you guys continue to try to pigeonhole his game.

Really? Do you REALLY think Pop is sitting their telling Barry he better learn how to deal with TParker? Or tha Pop is trying to figure out a way TPark can better utilize Barry and hit him on a few drive and dishes? Running some breaks with him, and maybe even running ahead of him on some breaks and receiving some passes from Barry on the break. I think the latter, and if you don't. then you don't know hoops.

First of all, can "exstatic" stop using your "F" word?? It is really disturbing. Sometimes, there could be children (who are also Spurs fans) who read this thread. You have the rights to piss off, you have the rights to show your emotions, but please avoid using those "F" word?

And secondly, I would have to say: "Barry played great tonight! GOOD JOB!"

    that go spurs go.

Great comments by Chump and Ex.

Theres no bigger Barry fans than ALL of us Spurs fans.

But to want to change the offense for this guy, or stop everything just so we can hold this er's hand, coming from the people who critisized pop for doing the same thing last year, is hilarious.

    Barry if he cant change.

    Youve got open goddamn shots.

    MAKE THEM.

Tonight?? Horrah, but amazing how he couldn't hit them when the Spurs only had an 8 10 point lead. it had to be 30 somethin.

The guy I dont think can deal with pressure for .

I'm just hoping that this game broke Barry out of his slump. He had only hit five of his last 27 three-point attempts going into this game. Then he missed his first three 3's tonight (and I was cringing) before hitting his final three 3's.

In the postseason, the Spurs are going to need Brent, Devin and Beno all contributing consistently. If big minutes and shots in a blow out game are what Brent needed, then he got it ... and more power to him.

Against the Nuggets he had tied season highs in assists and boards, and he had another great night tonight passing and rebounding again tonight.

    Props to Brent.

Hopefully we will see a lot more of it.

"That's really important for (Udrih and Barry) because that's the depth we talked about at the beginning of the year, and I haven't really seen that for about a month," Popovich said. "For those guys to join in tonight the way Devin's playing lately, hopefully we'll get a little bit of that depth back."

I'll say that Barry's game tonight was no different than most of his games.

He was 1-4 from 3 point range in the first half...that's about what he has hit during his slump.

But his passing was outstanding...as it has been all season.

Barry is the best passer on the team. He's the most surehanded ballhandler on the team. And he helps this team even if his shot isn't falling.

IF he is allowed to partake in the offense.

He's not a ballhogging shot chucker...he's like offensive grease and he doesn't take bad shots.

I think we've all figured out there Barry isn't going to be the next Steve Kerr. So just give up on expecting Barry to live up to Kerr's standard.

, that's impossible to do anyway, Kerr has got the highest career 3 mark in NBA history. Who is another Steve Kerr?

But Barry can do a of a lot more things than Kerr could...What you guys haven't seen all season, what I have been saying all season, Barry has things to offer on offense even if his shot isn't falling....

If you guys don't want to use those things...then go ahead and be ing stupid.

But please stop saying we don't need to change our offense to utilize the offensive skills of our players...

Don't act like our offense is championship caliber and doesn't need tweaking...our offense is the reason we don't have more les with Tim Duncan, it's the one weakness our team always has, it's always been the achilles heel...Vanilla offense sucks ass...and it needs to be ing tweaked to suit our players, because I get sick of choke jobs.

If Barry needs a couple of easy shots to get his 3 shot going, then give them to him...Are we trying to win a le or show Barry who the boss is?

I am just disappointed to see the Spurs have such CLASSLESS fans like T Park and exstatic. Totally offensive and annoying!!!!! I mean discussing basketball is fine. But why don't you 2 always have to put in the "F" word.

Because this is the only ing board that allowed us to say .

If you want a neutered board there is no shortage of them...like every other Spurs board that does censor it's posters.

And I resent being labeled childish because I don't stigmatize words.

Do you really that it's that much different if someone says fudge? I mean do you not know what they really mean? So what's the difference?

Real adults don't bury their heads in the sand.

I'd be willing to bet that most children above the third grade know more profanity than most adults. I bet most of them seek it out like a junkee seeks out heroin.

I had learned every profane word that I now know by the time I was in fifth grade...from cussword exchanges with my friends and reading the bathroom walls in my school.

    Lighten the up.

It is not about stigmatizing words. It is not about the age. It is about respect! Swearing can be seen as verbal abuse to some ppl. If I say "FXXk you" to you on the street, how would you feel? The fact that most children know many more profanity than adults DOES NOT give them legitmiate reason to do so. Everyone knows how to kill people, does that mean we can go ahead and do it? That's just NON-sense! You are just giving yourself STUPID excuses to do STUPID acts.

These words exist, and hiding them from children would be a mistake. Just teach them that they are very disrespectful. Just ask yourself if you would like to be treated that way. This is one of the tiny little roads to respect in the process which is called "education".

It is just causing the downgrading of our language into a series of crude adjectives. Even so, it is true that some people are uneducated or lazy about finding proper words to express themselves.

I would simply like to see Barry be the anti-Turk, turn it up near the end of the season, then all the worries will be forgotten.

He seems completely capable of getting it going and if he does and Nazr also continues to impress Spurs are unbeatable.
