Yeah, and did you get a load of Sean Mark's listed injury: sprained left pinky toe.

I wonder what happened with Sato? I thought the reason they weren't picking him back up was because they were looking for a forward.
Sato IMO wasnt very good.
I watched many summer league games, and preseason games, and pretty much all he could do was rebound.
His defense was so so, his jump shot was terrible.
Chris Carrawell squared.
They signed a vet because there is a very real possibility he'll play.
Id rather go with Linton than bringing in a stooge off the street.
Why not a Noel Felix at SF for a 10 looksee? I mean, if Pop is just tinkering around cause he's bored...
Since there are roughly 30 something days left in the season, Pop may be taking a look at up to three players, each on a 10 day. Who knows? Why not a Noel Felix at SF for a 10 looksee?
IMO, it scares me a little.
It means there might be more to Ginobili's injury than what they are letting on.
Dude, it was a 10 day contract.
dude, then whats the point.
Obviously the Spurs feel they need another guard for at least the next ten games. That may mean that Ginobili needs more rest and he doesn't want to burn out the others with big minutes.
When they started looking at Dial, I knew there had to be someone better out there. I'm not sure if Glover is it. I think they looked at Glover not last summer, but the one before. So they might think that he will be good just to fill in a few minutes a game so as not to burn out guys like Barry (he played 40 minutes in the last game).
I understood they weren't bring in another big right now because they are already acclimating Nazr to the system, so they didn't really need to be teaching two bigmen at this point in the season.
Even though this may be a move for only the Bobcats game, it's worth it. If the Spurs are blowing out the Bobcats, Glover can eat up some of the fourth quarter time and let Bruce, Devin and Brent rest.
If he does well, the Spurs could sign him for the rest of the season and use him as insurance in case one of their swingmen go down. If he doesn't play well, he's gone in 10 days.
Are the Spurs trying to recreate the 2002-03 Atlanta Hawks?
They have:
Dion Glover - 9.7 points, 3.7 rebounds, 2 assists, 1 steal, 42.7% FG
Nazr Mohammed - 4.6 points, 3.7 rebounds, .2 assists, .6 blocks, 42.1% FG
Mike Wilks - 5.7 points, 2.8 assists, 2.7 rebounds, 1.1 steals, 35.8%
Former Spurs also on that squad include Ira Newble, Mikkie Moore, Amal McCaskill and Brandon Williams.
Glover can not shoot worth , and doesn't play a lot of D. Maybe he has improved, but from the limited times I saw him play a few years back, that's what I gathered. He is very good at attacking the hoop and finishing, it's just he's not a great dribbler. Very good athlete and built like a brick wall. I'm not really sure why the Spurs are bothering, I don't expect him to play any type of important role if the Spurs are relatively healthy.
If the Glover doesn't fit...we must not quit.

We should of signed Gary Payton.
We could of had a reserve backcourt of Glove and Glover.
A little off topic but how is Linton Johnson still hurt? If he is healthy Pop should give him some minutes while Manu is out.
"The Spurs: The defense that never rests."
I don't think the Spurs are looking at him because of Manu's injury. I can't ever tell what Pop is going to do but I can judge the players pretty well...When Manu was interviewed in last nights game he didn't have the look of a guy who was seriously injured and worried about when he was going to be able to play again. Manu looked fine to me and then impression I got was that he could probably play right now if he had too, but the Spurs are being very careful with him this close to the playoffs.
I think Glover is just this years version of Matt Carroll.
Exs...get freaking real, I don't think the Spurs are going to replace Barry with a guy who just got waived from the Turkish leagues...and if it were true then wouldn't Barry be going on IR instead of Wilks?
Geez, only in San Antonio.
I think you are right that Manu isn't seriously injured and could play right now if it were the playoffs. But I think they are obviously picking up Dion as insurance because of Tony and Manu's injuries as of late. If they need to rest either one of them because of nagging injuries, they can give Dion spot minutes so as to not burn out Devin and Brent.I don't think are looking at him because of Manu's injury. I can't ever tell what Pop is going to do but I can judge the players pretty well...When Manu was interviewed in last nights game he didn't have the look of a guy who was seriously injured and worried about when he was going to be able to play again. In regards to Manu, last night Pop said in postgame very matter-of-factly "He's not ready. When he's ready, he'll play." So I'm not sure if Manu plays tomorrow or not .. I know he'd like to play.
Matt didn't have three or four years' of NBA experience like Glover and Dial. Doesn't really seem like an audition.I think Glover is just this years version of Matt Carroll.
Whottt, I agree with you that he may just be this year's Matt Carroll, but for slightly different reasons, skills-wise. Besides, going small is more than just an occasional whim in today's game of basketball. It is a growing trend and not just in college.
Another great move by Popovich.
