Anybody watching Barry's exploits during the playoffs? Exactly.
Neither Horry or Barry is "walking through that door". Nor should they.
The Spurs have moved on. Perhaps Spurs fans should too.
Am I the only one thats glad the Spurs got a quick playoffs exit? No Ginobili and an aging, unhealthy Duncan points to more rest, the better.
Not to mention this should kick our organization's ass into gear and start making some legitimate personnel changes and get rid of Matt Bonehead Bonner.

A 3-point sharpshooter coming off the bench was definitely missing this year.
1999 - Jaren Jackson (31-86)
2003 - Steven Jackson (38-113)
2005 - Robert Horry (38-85)
2007 - Michael Finley (44-105)
It is a simple truth that the Spurs cannot get younger unless they let older players leave at the end of their contracts.
Last year the Spurs had team decisions to make on 5 of the oldest players on their roster, Horry, Barry, Stoudamire, Finley, and KT. The first three were allowed to leave and replaced on the roster by players a decade or more younger. Finley and KT were retained on 2 yr deals. As to the Finley/Barry debate, hindsight says the best decision would have been to let them both walk. Finley was ineffective in the playoffs and Barry was injured again, had his worst statistical season in many years, and is behind Artest, Battier, Brooks, Wafer, and Lowry in the Rocket rotation.
This year, the Spurs have team decisions to make on 4 of their oldest players. Ime and JV are FAs and should be thanked for their efforts and be allowed to walk. The team has the ability to payoff Fab and Bruce for 50% of the value of their deals. They should do that and thank Fab for his efforts. Ime, Fab, and JV played the 10th, 11th, and 12th most minutes on the Spurs this season. They should be replaced with players that are, at least, younger than TP. Bruce played the 6th most minutes on the team and showed that he can still contribute in the playoffs. If he is willing to play for the vet min after receiving his payoff, then retain him. Then for the $2M the Spurs get from cutting Bruce, they get Bruce and a rookie.
As to Finley, one can only that Pop made clear to Fin that the Spurs were ready to make changes and that, if he exercises his option, his 2.5M dollar contract will be shopped as part of packages to improve the team. And that if he wants to retain control of where he plays next year he would be better served by becoming a FA.
You are what most people call a dumbass.
