Yahhh...that certainly held Hakeem Olaujuwon and Kareem Abdul Jabbar back...
I'd like to see Marks get more floor time.
Or at least Massenburg, especially when the bigs are playing like total garbage.
Yahhh...that certainly held Hakeem Olaujuwon and Kareem Abdul Jabbar back...
Kori...just say he sucks...It's bad to hold things in...
Insecure much, Mrs. Barry?
I don't think he sucked, so why should I say it. He had a great game after hitting his second 3. Before that, he sucked. That balances out to ... he had a good game, not awesome.
Yeah, defensive juggernaut that he is. Ole!
jr
not any worse than the other bigs out there tonight.
Kori, as much as I love to argue....I think you and SW are the like the only people I have never argued with and antagonized on this board, and you have always seemed fair to me even when the entire board was piling on.....while I have never backed down from an argument or yeilded my postion to anyone...no matter how brutal the pileon or what their board status was..I kind of like having one or two people that don't think I am a total asshole...so with the class, grace and dignity that is my calling card...I will respectully withdraw from this confrontation![]()
18 points is 18 points, if you get them all in the first, all in the fourth, or equally by quarter. Brent played well tonight, I really feel bad for the guy if he scores eighteen points and people still that he played badly....
EDIT 17
Who said that he played badly? I said that he had a good game, but didn't play well early... I wasn't talking about his scoring.
You said he didn't have a stellar game, three times your average in scoring is pretty damn good to me.
I don't know that anybody has had a stellar game for a while, I'd have to look at the boxes...
I mean who had more assists than Brent, only one guy, THE STARTING POINT GUARD. Who had the most steals, Bowen tied with Brent with two, and he's THE DEFENSIVE SPECIALIST. Three boards isn't great but it was the same as Nazr and one less than Rasho. He was perfect from the line and 66% from the three point line.....
Stellar to me means exceptional. He had a good game, not exceptional. If he would have played well early, or gotten more of his points when the Spurs were still in it, then it would be exceptional.
I wasn't ing about him at all.
There was nothing stellar about Barry's game, but it was a very nice step in the right direction.
Dear Kori,
Having expressed a lot of disappointment by the 2 recent games (at least), I would like to know how can the Spurs get out of the slump, now that Duncan and Brown are out due to injuries. Also how is the morale inside the team like?
Maybie Erazem Lorbek could help!

May I say that what this year's Spurs team lacks, compared with the championship team in 2002-03, is HEART. During that year, everybody knew David Robinson was going to retire, and they determined to bring him a second crown. That team was not better talented than this year's team. Also they got enough injuries bugs, eg. Speedy Claxton with dislocated shoulder, Manu Ginobili with injured ankle, and Steve Smith... and Malik Rose was benched by Pop. But somehow the team put together after the Rodeo Road trip (after a blowout by the Twolves).
Can this year's team bring out the same heart? A quest for the first championship after David? Or can't the Spurs from the 2003-04 team remember what separated them from the le? It's the officiating error that allowed Derek Fisher's miracle .4 second shot, eclipsing Duncan's own miraculous shot over Shaq! Do they think of revenge by winning this year's le, or are they thinking of an early summer vacation?
I sincerely hope that everyone plays hard and hustles like crazy next game, to show the world that the Spurs even without Duncan cannot be overlooked like an also-ran.
Have Duncan get better. It's not like we'd win the le without him.I would like to know how can the Spurs get out of the slump, now that Duncan and Brown are out due to injuries.
