Dirk didn't deserve to come anywhere close to an all NBA team.
You got me for a second. Now kill yourself, Ghazi.

I agree with the list 100%. This is what I've been speculating for weeks now.

congrats to Dirk , I believe this is his 4th all-NBA 1st team (confirm anyone?).

    Go Dirk

    and go Mavs

I may be the biggest Duncan homer here and I have no problem with the list. Dirk earned it. Duncan started strong but the tendonosis, on top of his left knee already bothering him, really impacted him from February on. I'm fine with second team.
True..and I'm not saying Dirk didn't deserve it. I'm just wondering how he got it. He got less First Team votes than Tim, yet he got on the First Team somehow...I'm just wondering how it happened.

Point system. Players get points for first team, second team, and third team votes. Duncan had more first place votes than Dirk. Dirk had more total points. They go by total points, not first place votes.

Why is Parker ridiculous? Didn't his team finish ahead of Dirk's who got first team? Wasn't the Spurs team pretty badly hit with injury as well? Didn't TP carry the load for a large part of the season?
Voting for him over Wade, Kobe, CP3, or D-Will?

    Give me a break.

Dirk didn't deserve to come anywhere close to an all NBA team.
He deserved 2nd or 3rd team for sure. With injuries to guys like Garnett & Duncan, 1st team for Dirk isn't ridiculous.

If anything, it shows how good Dirk is, because this was easily his worst season since 03-04.

You really think so? To me, it was one of Dirk's better years, especially considering how crappy his team was. And the fact that he came 4th in scoring (behind Wade, Lebron, and Kobe), playing half-assed for 9/10ths of the season.

If you carry a team with Antoine mutha in Wright in the starting lineup to 50 wins and a 2nd round playoff appearance you are a 1st team all NBA player.

I think it was Dirk's worst year since 03-04 as well. His free throw rate declined, his 3-PT shooting has vanished, and it seems he had way too many "dud games". He has been brilliant in the playoffs though, his best playoffs since the 05-06 le run.

Still the best PF in the game.

I thought we were voting by how good of a season they had..not by name. There are some who would agree that Tony had better seasons overall than 3 out of 4 of those players due to the fact that he led the Spurs to a LOT of wins with mainly scrubs.

He did not have a better season than Kobe or Wade, but it was not that far off for you to be butt hurt that he got 1 vote. If someone takes injuries to a team, along with winning the toughest division in the NBA and weighs them heavily, you can easily see TP getting a vote.

Since they only put two guards on the first team, who would you put Chris Paul ahead of, Kobe or Wade?
Kobe but I am sure I will get blasted for saying it. There were just too many guards with great seasons this year, but Kobe got in 80% by media/name and 20% by performance.

It was a joke more than anything. The only one butthurt here is you, because I don't suck Parker's like you.
