Is Tim Duncan now an official center?
I hope this doesn't come into the discussion of him being the greatest PF of all-time. Spurs need a 7 footer beside him this year.
EDIT: Oh, my bad. Duncan was considered a forward. 5 points behind Dirk, and Tim had more first place votes.

Damn, I was sure Pierce was gonna be over Dirk in the 1st team. I am happy though. Dirk continues to prove he is one of the truly greats. I didn't think after 07 he would ever sniff the 1st team.
On yesteday's threats I had every other position predicted correctly, except that I had Joe Johnson over Melo. I thought he had a poor season due to the elbow injury, but I can understand. Pretty good for me.

Why is Parker ridiculous? Didn't his team finish ahead of Dirk's who got first team? Wasn't the Spurs team pretty badly hit with injury as well? Didn't TP carry the load for a large part of the season?
I agree with all three teams, with the possible exception that one could argue while the individual stats don't necessarily back it up, Billups had a better season that Chris Paul. But I still essentially agree with the actual outcome.

Paul next season just needs to ballhog and score 27+ since that is ALL the league seems to care about now when it comes to awards....

All NBA teams are almost fully based on stats.
Although I'm very surprised that Duncan was listed as a forward. Didn't he line up as center for most of the season? And wasn't he considered as a center for the All defensive team?
Since they only put two guards on the first team, who would you put Chris Paul ahead of, Kobe or Wade?
Also nice to see Shaq make the All NBA team, at the age of 37.
Paul needs to play the entire season. The all star game seemed to get him going because he was great from there on. Not great enough to deserve first team.

Duncan was a center for the All-Defensive team.
He's always listed as power forward on the Spurs game rosters, even though he does the jump and plays quite a bit of center.
The people who voted said otherwise..look at the list..Tim got more first place votes than Dirk..both at the Forward position. How the did Dirk get first team when he didn't get as many votes as Tim?
When you're paired with Matt Bonner you're gonna be classed as a C.
Teams look fair, no complaints here.
Dirk didn't deserve to come anywhere close to an all NBA team.
I may be the biggest Duncan homer here and I have no problem with the list. Dirk earned it. Duncan started strong but the tendonosis, on top of his left knee already bothering him, really impacted him from February on. I'm fine with second team.
